Mother's Day was created by Philadelphia teacher Anna Jarvis to honor her mom. But did you know that Modern Woodmen helped bring it to a national level? Modern Woodmen leaders loved Anna’s vision and encouraged members to celebrate. They held a Mother's Day celebration on May 10, 1908 - four years before Congress formally declared it a holiday in 1913. #ModernSince1883
