Our logo has evolved over the years. From a black and white emblem to the blue and green shield we know today. Our shield represents the protection we provide our members. And the clouds form an eagle's head, looking out for the communities we serve.
Last week I joined Modern Woodmen reps from across our region to help Emily's Hope – a South Dakota-based nonprofit created to remove the stigma of substance use disorder and reduce financial barriers to treatment and recovery. We purchased items and assembled approximately 2,000 naloxone kits for donation to communities across the state.
