Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.
I serve members in…
the northeast Mississippi area, predominantly in Monroe County, including the communities of Amory, Aberdeen, Hatley, Smithville, Wren, Hamilton, Becker, Greenwood Springs, Athens/Quincy, and beyond.
I enjoy working with…
families, young adults, those nearing retirement, retirees, small-business owners, and those in major industry. I work with individuals to help them meet each specific financial needs and goals.
I attended…
Freed-Hardeman University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical studies in 2000 and a master's in education in 2002. I received my Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2005.
I am very proud of…
being a licensed member of the Mississippi Bar Association since 2005 and of having been elected to serve as mayor of Amory, Mississippi, in 2013. I served for two terms, ending in 2021. I'm also proud to be a member of the wonderful Monroe County community.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
served as mayor of Amory, Mississippi, for eight years, after running a general practice law firm in downtown Amory for a number of years.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
I believe in the organization and its ability to render services to enable anyone, from any walk of life, to put into action a solid plan for achieving their financial goals, regardless of their age or background. Not only does Modern Woodmen provide such excellent support in that arena, but it also supports local communities as a boots-on-the-ground, service-minded organization that promotes giving back to member communities.
The best part of my career is…
helping others no matter what their need.
