How we make a difference

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

as community leaders, we believe it’s our responsibility.

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

answering the call for our local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, working with our education foundations and classroom teachers, supporting our first responders and military, and recognizing the unsung heroes who work to make central and southern Indiana a more enjoyable place for families to thrive.

In all its complexity - one could argue, healthy retirement is built on two fundamental considerations: 1. Having enough money to lay your head to rest at night. 2. Having a reason or purpose to get up in the morning. Looking forward to kicking off Holy Trinity Catholic Church’s First Thursday Community Speaker Series in Edinburgh (Indiana) this week! On October 2nd, I’ll be discussing planning for retirement — how to prepare, what to consider, and ways to build confidence in your financial future. A huge shout to Sarabeth Drybread for making the connection and great appreciation to Debbie and David Hyde for reaching out to make this possible. Compliments to Edinburgh members for putting on such an informative initiative. Here’s to an amazing evening of conversation and community! Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #unapologeticallyfraternal Much Love & Cheers. #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #ThisIsMWA #ThisIsUsMWA #MakeAnImpact #MakeADifference #PeopleHelpingPeople #CommunityMatters #FraternalLife #GiveBack #MWAInTheCommunity #PurposeDrivenWork

A big shout-out to Rob and Taylor for representing our team at the Indy Premier Golf Outing this past weekend! ⛳ Not only did they show up strong in the community and enhance what is already amazing event, but they also helped create an impact by matching $2,000 for Indy Premier Soccer Club’s Youth Development programs—helping more young athletes access opportunities on and off the field. Proud of the way our team shows up as financial professionals with a purpose; living out what it means to be unapologetically fraternal. 💚 Much Love & Cheers. #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #ThisIsMWA #ThisIsUsMWA #MakeAnImpact #MakeADifference #PeopleHelpingPeople #CommunityMatters #FraternalLife #GiveBack #MWAInTheCommunity #PurposeDrivenWork #UnapologeticallyFraternal

High performers aren’t just good at saying “yes.” They’re even better at saying “no.” No to distractions. No to overcommitment. No to anything that pulls them off-mission — even if it’s a “good” opportunity. The truth? Saying “yes” to everything is the fastest way to lose control of your time, your energy, and your vision. Ironically, saying “no” makes your “yes” more valued… more powerful… more focused. The most successful people are the most focused. They’ve made peace with disappointing people if it means protecting their priorities. That’s not selfish — it’s strategic. “No” is a complete sentence. And learning to use it well? That’s a leadership skill. What a night! 🌟 Last weekend’s Dancing with the Johnson County Stars at the Historic Artcraft Theatre was nothing short of inspiring—community, performance, generosity, and fun all under one roof. Huge shout-out to Barb Miller for making it all happen. Barb, your leadership, heart, and dedication to raising the bar (literally and figuratively) made it possible for so many to shine: dancers, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees alike. Thanks to everyone who showed up, cheered, donated, and made an impact: because of your support, we raised meaningful funds for eight local nonprofits; a powerful reminder that when the community comes together, we can accomplish great things. Proud to have been part of this and already looking forward to next year’s performance. #unapologeticallyfraternal Much Love & Cheers. #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #ThisIsMWA #ThisIsUsMWA #MakeAnImpact #MakeADifference #PeopleHelpingPeople #CommunityMatters #FraternalLife #GiveBack #MWAInTheCommunity #PurposeDrivenWork
