How we make a difference

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

as community leaders, we believe it’s our responsibility.

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

answering the call for our local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, working with our education foundations and classroom teachers, supporting our first responders and military, and recognizing the unsung heroes who work to make central and southern Indiana a more enjoyable place for families to thrive.

Most people underestimate what they’re capable of. Not because they lack ability— but because they’ve never been in a position that demands more from them. This career has a way of revealing that. It challenges how you think. How you communicate. How you show up for others. And over time… it changes you. Not overnight. Not easily. But meaningfully. Because when you’re trusted to help people make some of the most important decisions of their lives— you don’t have a choice but to grow. And if you lean into it… what you’re capable of becomes very different than what you once thought possible. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Take the risk. After stepping away from corporate America, James Todd made the decision to build something of his own—and this Saturday, that vision officially comes to life. Grand Scale Graphics is launching, and it’s worth your attention. If you’re in Indianapolis on the 16th, they’ll be hosting their launch event at Silo Auto Club. What they’re doing is impressive. From large-scale wall murals to custom installations, their mobile printing technology allows them to create bold, high-impact visuals on virtually any flat surface—walls, floors, garages, warehouses, offices, and more. But what stands out even more than the technology is the decision behind it. It takes courage to leave something stable. It takes conviction to build something from the ground up. And it takes belief to see it through. That’s what this represents. Congratulations to James and the Grand Scale Graphics team on this launch. Indianapolis is better for it. 📍 3:30pm Saturday the 16th | Silo Auto Club | Indianapolis Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. There’s a difference between having a job… and being in the right environment. The expectations are different. The conversations are different. The standard is different. You’re surrounded by people who: want to get better hold each other accountable and don’t settle for “good enough” Growth isn’t something that gets talked about here. It’s something that gets expected. And when you’re in that kind of environment— you don’t stay the same. You either rise… or you realize it’s not for you. And both outcomes are okay. But for the right person— it changes everything. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #UnapologeticallyFraternal Much Love & Cheers. #ThisIsMWA #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #CareerGrowth #GrowthEnvironment #NextLevel

Every week, I’m reminded we’re living in one of the noisiest financial environments we’ve ever seen. Markets move. Headlines spin. And everyone seems to have an opinion—usually louder than the last. But here’s what’s becoming clearer to me: People aren’t looking for more noise. They’re looking for clarity. Not perfect predictions. Not pressure. Just clarity. And more often than not, that doesn’t come from a chart, a forecast, or a strategy. It comes from a conversation. A space where someone can lay out their goals, fears, and questions—without feeling rushed or judged. Because financial confidence isn’t built by being “sold” something. It’s built by being heard. By understanding your priorities. By creating a plan that actually fits your life—not the one the headlines tell you to chase. When the noise fades, better decisions follow. And that’s the work.
