How we make a difference

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

as community leaders, we believe it’s our responsibility.

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

answering the call for our local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, working with our education foundations and classroom teachers, supporting our first responders and military, and recognizing the unsung heroes who work to make central and southern Indiana a more enjoyable place for families to thrive.

Reflecting on a night to remember. We had the incredible honor of hosting the Glitter and Gratitude event, a celebration dedicated to the inspiring nonprofit leaders of Johnson County. It was an evening filled with connection, recognition, and an abundance of gratitude for those who tirelessly work to make our community a better place. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical. The sparkle of the evening mirrored the brilliance of the individuals we were celebrating. From the heartfelt speeches to the engaging conversations, it was clear that the impact of these leaders extends far beyond their organizations. It was truly special to come together and honor their contributions. As we reflect on that night, we’re reminded of the profound difference that committed individuals and organizations can make in our community. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening so memorable. Your presence, energy, and support are what make events like this possible. To our sponsors and volunteers, your generosity and hard work ensured the success of the event, and for that, we are deeply grateful. Here’s to continuing to support and uplift each other. Much love and Cheers. #ModernWoodmen #Leadershipjohnsoncounty #Community #HometownHero #Fraternalism #GlitterandGratitude #nonprofitleaders Your Central Indiana Team: Michelle Badolato, Dustin Robbins, Collin Bopp, Amanda Meyer, Amanda Laney, Stacy Riddle, Dane Crick, Robert Muellers, Tanner Lyon, Taylor Farley, Lucas Hill, CFP®️, and Chelsea Brooks-Poole.

Leading isn’t just about giving orders or setting goals—it's about inspiring and guiding others with integrity, empathy, and vision. Here’s a reminder to lead by example. Ask yourself: Are you the leader you would want to follow? Be the kind of leader who: Inspires with Positivity – Encourage others with your actions and words. Acts with Integrity – Uphold honesty and transparency in every decision. Shows Empathy – Listen, understand, and support those around you. Leads with Vision – Set a clear direction and motivate others towards a common goal. To lead is to embark on a continuous journey of growth and self-improvement. Strive to be the kind of leader who motivates and uplifts others, fostering a community of trust and respect. Be direct. Be kind.
