How we make a difference

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

as community leaders, we believe it’s our responsibility.

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

answering the call for our local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, working with our education foundations and classroom teachers, supporting our first responders and military, and recognizing the unsung heroes who work to make central and southern Indiana a more enjoyable place for families to thrive.

Behind the scenes of being a financial professional… Most people see the meetings. The events. The presentations. The polished side of the profession. What they don’t see are the hours behind it all. The studying. The strategy sessions. The tough conversations. The constant refining of our craft. They don’t see the time spent preparing for one client conversation… or the pressure of making sure families receive guidance that’s thoughtful, ethical, and personal. And honestly? One of the best parts of this profession is that we don’t do it alone. Behind every advisor is a team pushing each other to grow, think deeper, sharpen our skills, and raise the standard together. A lot happens behind the scenes. The learning. The collaboration. The accountability. The camaraderie. That’s what makes the visible moments possible. And that’s what makes this work so meaningful. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #UnapologeticallyFraternal Much Love & Cheers. #ThisIsMWA #FinancialProfessional #BehindTheScenes #LeadershipDevelopment #GrowthMindset #RaiseTheStandard

Last month’s Glitter & Gratitude Gala was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people choose to build community intentionally. More than 80 nonprofit organizations came together for one night—not to fundraise, not to network, not to compete for attention… …but simply to be celebrated. And what made the night even more meaningful was seeing so many Modern Woodmen of America members, community leaders, and local champions show up to support the people who spend their lives supporting everyone else. That’s what made this event special. Not just the decor. Not just the music. Not just the glitter. The people. The Community Champions who helped bring the vision to life. The nonprofit leaders who continue to pour themselves into this county. The members who understand that success means more when it lifts others along the way. That’s the difference. This wasn’t just an event. It was a reflection of the kind of community we’re continuing to build together. And honestly… we’re just getting started. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #UnapologeticallyFraternal Much Love & Cheers. #GlitterAndGratitude #CommunityImpact #ThisIsMWA #PeopleHelpingPeople #ServeOthers

Most people want the results. Very few commit to the standard required to achieve them. Because mastery is rarely glamorous. It’s repetition. Preparation. Discipline. Handling the small details correctly— even when nobody notices. Again. And again. And again. That’s the price. Not talent. Not hype. Not shortcuts. Just the willingness to stay committed to the craft long after the excitement fades. Respect isn’t given once. It’s earned daily. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #UnapologeticallyFraternal Much Love & Cheers. #RaiseTheStandard #MasterYourCraft #LeadershipDevelopment #GrowthMindset #NoShortcuts

Most client appreciation nights look the same. Dinner. Drinks. Maybe a thank you or two. Ours looks a little different. We still celebrate. We still say thank you. But we also pause to recognize something bigger— The impact our clients make simply by choosing to do business with us. Because this isn’t just about financial planning. It’s about what that planning makes possible. Last month, we had the opportunity to support and recognize some incredible organizations and leaders in our community: Tandy Shuck and Leadership Johnson County Tiffany Woods and the Greenwood Education Foundation Renae Furnee and Resources of Hope Laura Perry and the TOPSoccer Program at SCSA Kerry Carmichael and Jean Hooten of The Refuge, recognized as this year’s Hometown Heroes Markanda Baugh of the Damien Center Steve & Kelly Campbell of St. Francis Premier SC Mika Stark & Kiersey Deneif of Stark Market Club And here’s the part that matters most— This doesn’t happen without our members. Every policy. Every plan. Every choice is one made to work together… It all compounds into something far greater than numbers on a page. It turns into opportunities. Into resources. Into real impact for people right here in our community. That’s how we operate differently. Not just building financial security— but using it to strengthen the communities we’re part of. That’s what it means to be… #UnapologeticallyFraternal Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. Much Love & Cheers. #ThisIsMWA #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #CommunityImpact #PeopleHelpingPeople #ServeOthers #MakeAnImpact
