Why I do what I do

I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I was very impressed with their professionalism and ability to help people reach their financial goals in so many ways. I really felt that if I committed to this career Modern Woodmen would help me make the most beneficial impact to my family, friends, and community.

The best part of my career is…

when I get to meet people in my community face-to-face and help them where they need it most. When I leave that meeting I feel great knowing I've helped them so much and that I'll be their financial representative, giving the best service I can provide.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I helped a family of five in my hometown at the very beginning of my career. The couple was in their late forties and hadn't started investing for their retirement yet simply because they didn't understand what were the first steps to take. A common story. After meeting with them I walked the husband through his 401(k) so he could utilize his match and started a non-working spouse IRA for the wife. When they told me how they felt like a huge weight was lifted from their shoulders I knew this was the career for me.

my wife Claire. We've been married a little over a year now and it's been a wonderful life together.

in Mountain View, Arkansas, since I was five years old.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

having monthly chapter dinners and getting to give my members a discount on their families meal.
