Why I do what I do

I'm so blessed to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to do what I do.

worked in IT for many years.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I believe in the organization. I love sitting down with members and working with them to achieve their financial goals. I also love fraternal and how it allows me to give back to the communities I serve.

The best part of my career is…

getting to know people. I love learning about their family, the things they love, and what they want to do in the future!

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my husband, John, my son, Johnnie, and my two daughters, Lexie and Arianna.

In my free time, you can find me…

spending time with family or friends. I love to travel, especially to NASCAR, Indy Car, Formula One and local racetracks across the country. I've visited tracks in California, Indiana, Illinois, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and, of course, Wisconsin. I'm a big supporter of racers from Wisconsin!

I’m passionate about…

my family, my friends and my faith.

My greatest blessing is…

my family! I've been married for over 27 years and have three great kids. They are my "why."

My personal motto is…

to serve families and individuals, enhance their lives and educate them with service that is honest, compassionate and transparent.

My hidden talent is…

I love to design brochures or invitations. I'm pretty clever at coming up with unique sayings and poems.

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

over 26 years. I grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and spent a couple of years in the Seattle area. But southeastern Wisconsin is and always was home!

What I like best about my community is…

there's always something to do! Whether it's a farmer's market or a concert in the park, we have a very active community.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

I love to volunteer at my church's annual festival and other activities. My youngest daughter is active in theatre at her school, so I volunteer there as well. It's nice to see kids come out of their shells and shine on stage!

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

our fraternal activities. I love giving back to my community - whether it's through a Matching Fund project for a local youth group or a community service project to benefit a favorite charity.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

an electronic recycling event we opened up to members and the community this year. It was a huge success! The company we worked with gave some of their profits back to us. We used those proceeds to purchase Christmas items for our veterans.
