Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I am so blessed to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding.
I serve members in…
my hometowns of Oklahoma City and Edmond. I have members throughout Oklahoma.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.
I enjoy working with…
individuals and families just starting on their financial path, those approaching retirement or already enjoying retirement, and small-business owners.
I attended…
Oklahoma State University.
I am very proud of…
starting my career with Modern Woodmen in 2003 and being named the Oklahoma Excellence Awards' Newcomer of the Year. The following year, I received the Rookie of the Year award. I'm also proud of earning the Fraternal Insurance Counselor designation.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
worked for two large mutual life insurance companies, beginning in 1990. Prior to working in financial planning, I managed the personal lines department of a small, independent property and casualty insurance agency. Before that, I was a savings counselor and mortgage lender. These early career experiences helped prepare me for my Modern Woodmen members today.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
of all the wonderful fraternal programs it offers to members and their communities. I was truly amazed how many benefits I can share with members, many of which have been life-changing for them.
The best part of my career is…
helping people plan their financial futures and feel secure that they've taken the necessary steps to provide for the retirement they want. I also like helping them provide financial security for their loved ones in the event of death.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
I saw members' years of planning pay off by having money when they needed it for their children's college educations, retirement income or a dream vacation. Equally rewarding was the relief a family felt from being provided for after a loved one's death. I realized that life insurance doesn't make the death of a loved one any easier, but the money, time to grieve and ability continue their dreams prevent the situation from being worse.
