Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

What better way to impact future generations than by helping families clear financial burdens? It’s all about helping others.

I serve members in…

central Mississippi and Alabama primarily.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, savings, investments, and retirement plans.

I enjoy working with…

having the ability to pour thousands of dollars back into our community through fraternal projects, such as matching funds, service projects and educational events.

I attended…

Holmes Community College and Mississippi State University.

I am very proud of…

ending last year by being in the top 100 representatives in Modern Woodmen.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a Black Hawk helicopter mechanic in the Army National Guard and an aircraft mechanic contractor for the Air Force.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

of how the organization allows me to make an impact in the community where I live and work. Modern Woodmen consistently gives back through service projects, Matching Fund projects and educational events. Why wouldn't I want to be part of Modern Woodmen?

The best part of my career is…

helping people deal with unique situations, overcome life changes, or plan for future goals.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I see the impact I can make. When I walk a member through the process of creating a financial plan, I enjoy seeing the peace of mind on my members' faces. I like knowing I'm there to walk with them on the path to financial security through each stage of life.

Also…

having the ability to pour thousands of dollars back into our community through fraternalism projects such as matching funds, service projects, and educational events.

“I help families build lasting financial foundations, overcome life's challenges, and steward their resources with purpose through every season.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my beautiful wife, Brittany, and our daughter, Collins.

In my free time, you can find me…

enjoying family events or the outdoors.

I’m passionate about…

walking in my faith and leading my family by being the husband and father I'm called to be.

My greatest blessing is…

knowing, no matter what might happen in this life, my family, friends and fellow Modern Woodmen representatives will be there to support me and my family.

My personal motto is…

"If your outgo exceeds your income, then your upkeep will be your downfall." - Unknown

My hidden talent is…

I enjoy handwashing dishes. To find out why, I'd enjoy the opportunity to share it with you.

Community impact

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

about seven years.

What I like best about my community is…

the amazing people. As a college town, Starkville has diverse people from around the world. Many see this beautiful town and decide to stay in the area.

I’m a member of…

the American Legion and Meadowview Baptist Church, where I serve as a deacon.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

helping other nonprofit organizations impact the community around me.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

hosting an educational event where members and their guest learned the basics of CPR and First Aid, as well as using an AED.

Also…

Our chapter matched $2,500 raised for a local organization that builds beds for kids who have never had a bed before. The money helped purchase supplies to build beds for multiple families.

Supporting a local nonprofit and men's recovery organization

A local men's recovery organization, called The Mission, had a goal to create a garden at their facility to allow the men to grow fruits, vegetables, and other plants during their time there. Through one of my fraternal projects, we were able to donate the garden beds, tools, and other supplies to support their goal.
