Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

What better way to impact future generations than by helping families clear financial burdens?

I serve members in…

Mississippi, Alabama and Kansas.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities and mutual funds.

I enjoy working with…

college students who want to be intentional with their finances, young families with kids, people approaching retirement who want peace of mind, and grandparents who want to leave a legacy and generational wealth to their loved ones.

I attended…

Holmes Community College and Mississippi State University.

I am very proud of…

earning the FIC and FFSC designations within the first two years of my career.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a Black Hawk helicopter mechanic in the Army National Guard and an aircraft mechanic contractor for the Air Force.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

of how the organization allows me to make an impact in the community where I live and work. Modern Woodmen consistently gives back through service projects, Matching Fund projects and educational events. Why wouldn't I want to be part of Modern Woodmen?

The best part of my career is…

helping people deal with unique situations, overcome life changes, or plan for future goals.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I understood the great impact I can make. When I walk a member through the process of creating a financial plan, I enjoy seeing the peace of mind on my members' faces. I like knowing I'm there to walk with them on the path to financial security.

Also…

I'm not only helping members holistically with their financial needs, but also changing the lives of future generations.

“I enjoy working with college students who want to be intentional with their finances, young families with kids, people approaching retirement who want peace of mind, and grandparents who want to leave a legacy and generational wealth to their loved ones.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my beautiful wife, Brittany, and our daughter, Collins.

In my free time, you can find me…

enjoying family events or the outdoors.

I’m passionate about…

walking in my faith and leading my family by being the husband and father I'm called to be.

My greatest blessing is…

knowing, no matter what might happen in this life, my family, friends and fellow Modern Woodmen representatives will be there to support me and my family.

My personal motto is…

"If your outgo exceeds your income, then your upkeep will be your downfall." - Unknown

My hidden talent is…

I enjoy handwashing dishes. To find out why, I'd enjoy the opportunity to share it with you.

Community impact

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

about six years.

What I like best about my community is…

the amazing people. As a college town, Starkville has diverse people from around the world. Many see this beautiful town and decide to stay in the area.

I’m a member of…

Meadowview Baptist Church, where I serve as a deacon.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

helping other nonprofit organizations impact the community around me.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

donating over 60 backpacks to a local school for kids who have lost or damaged theirs. With prices continuing to rise, it helps parents save some money when the school has extra backpacks to give to kids at no cost.

Also…

I matched $2,500 raised for a local organization that builds beds for kids who have never had a bed before. The money helped purchase supplies to build beds for multiple families.
