Why I do what I do

I have never liked being pressured into making a purchase. My mother always told me to stop and pray on it. When I chose this career, I wanted to make sure I brought that mindset to my clients. It is very important to help them achieve their goals while also respecting their budget. I sit down with families and take as much time as needed to ensure that when I leave their house, they are absolutely confident in the plan we have put in place.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

served in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. After that, I worked in management in the medical field for five years.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

they have always put their members first. I have been a member since I was a kid, and it always stood out to me how different Modern Woodmen was from other financial services companies. Each member really does become a part of the Modern Woodmen family. The community impact was a big draw for me; I grew up in a small town and got to see the impact Modern Woodmen' fraternal activities and fundraisers made firsthand.

The best part of my career is…

helping people obtain peace of mind. It is so rewarding to see the relief on my clients' faces once they realize their families are protected with life insurance, and they have plans in place to help them thrive in retirement. On top of that, I also get to go out into my local community and give back through fraternal programs. It is such a blessing to make a living by enriching the lives of others!!

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I truly understood why I do what I do. I delivered my first death claim to a family who happened to be close friends, and I got to see the positive impact I made on their lives by protecting their family with life insurance. Being able to see firsthand how the time I spent with them made such a difference in their lives was an amazing feeling and inspired me to continue helping others.

my wife, Alicia, my son, Boston, and our dog, Lexi.

spending time with my family, riding dirt bikes, going to the movies, or tinkering in the garage.

I’m passionate about…

my faith in Christ! I owe God the honor and glory for everything in my life! I am also a huge Oklahoma City Thunder fan.

My greatest blessing is…

without a doubt my wonderful family. Without them I would be lost!

My personal motto is…

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

My hidden talent is…

rebuilding dirt bikes and ATVs, and according to my best friend, having a comeback for everything.

I have lived in my community…

since 2007, but I grew up about 20 miles down the road, so I've been around this area my whole life.

What I like best about my community is…

it's a small town, so everyone is very friendly and helpful. I've seen the town rally around people in need, and that's what makes it such a great place to live.

I’m a member of…

Hominy Church of the Nazarene.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

helping others in need. I really enjoy any activity where I can help someone and take my son with me to teach him the importance of giving back.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

enjoying social and educational opportunities with my local Modern Woodmen chapter.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

when one of my clients won a Modern Woodmen college scholarship and I was able to be up on stage at her school's awards ceremony and present the scholarship to her. It was a very proud moment to be able to represent Modern Woodmen while giving back to a very deserving young lady.
