Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.
I serve members in…
Spartanburg, Laurens, Greenville and Cherokee Counties in South Carolina, as well as western North Carolina.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance and annuities.
I enjoy working with…
families and retirees.
I attended…
Western Piedmont University, where I received a degree in accounting.
I am very proud of…
being a resource and serving my clients in the financial services industry for 48 years.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
worked as a representative and in management roles for other insurance companies.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
it is a family-oriented company and a fraternal organization. It's not like you are serving your clients, or even members. You actually have an extended family.
The best part of my career is…
that I am able to go out and prepare families for all the "ifs" in life. Being there for people when disaster strikes and helping them have peace of mind has been a very rewarding experience for me.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
I was working with a client and his family, and he turned to me and said, "David, you can't ever retire. We depend on you so much." I was very touched by this comment. To them, I am their resource and friend.

I am a member of NAIFA Upstate and Past President of NAIFA South Carolina. I teach Sunday school, I am active in the Men's Fellowship at my church, and I enjoy our mission trips to areas where other families and individuals are in need of help. We can be there to make their lives a little better.
