Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.

I serve members in…

Maine and other states.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

families, small-business owners, those approaching retirement and those in retirement.

I attended…

the University of Maine, The American College and Calais Memorial High School.

I am very proud of…

being a member of the Modern Woodmen of America team in Maine. I work with and serve wonderful people, businesses and families.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

owned my own business, was a sales professional, and had a successful career in federal law enforcement.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

of the values and service characteristics that permeate our organization.

The best part of my career is…

being married to and working with my best friend, serving interesting and productive people, and doing what God has called me to do in my life.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

a student from the Reeds Brook Middle School in Hampden won Modern Woodmen's national speech contest.

Also…

I enjoy helping multiple generations of families figure out and achieve their financial goals and become financially secure.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my bride and business partner, Mary Ann Tudor, four grown children and their spouses, three grandchildren, and our adopted Georgia family that brings us three more grandchildren.

In my free time, you can find me…

serving Christ through my work with the Katahdin Camp of the Gideons International, participating in our local church activities or enjoying our small home on the lake in the woods of Lincoln, Maine.

I’m passionate about…

Jesus, my bride, our family, America and helping others come to know Jesus Christ as their savior.

My greatest blessing is…

being saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.

My personal motto is…

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

My hidden talent is…

making waffles and sharing them with guests at our home.

Also…

Mary Ann and I enjoy traveling, kayaking and walking.

Community impact

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

most of my life. I've lived in eastern and northern Maine.

What I like best about my community is…

that it's full of friendly, patriotic people.

I’m a member of…

the Gideons International, Maranatha Riverside Church, National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors and the National Rifle Association.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

giving away Bibles with the Gideons, and Modern Woodmen social and service activities.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

when we plant flowers along Main Street in downtown Lincoln and passersby smile, wave and honk the horns of their vehicles. Lincoln is a friendly town.

Also…

I enjoy working with students and teachers in the dozens of schools in eastern and northern Maine in which we sponsor middle school speech contests. The students are very positive and creative and are well coached and encouraged by their teachers.
