Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
Helping others has always been at the heart of what I do. As a pastor, I have the privilege of serving people spiritually; as a financial representative, I help individuals and families work toward greater financial security; and as a volunteer, I serve alongside others to strengthen our community.
I serve members in…
Brookhaven, Bogue Chitto, McComb and southwest Mississippi.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance, annuities, mutual funds, and variable annuities.
I enjoy working with…
families, individuals preparing for retirement, and small-business owners. I enjoy helping people understand their options, prepare for life’s uncertainties, and build a financial strategy for the future. My goal is to provide practical guidance and a personal relationship they can rely on through every stage of life.
I attended…
Mississippi College, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in accounting, and Colorado Christian University, where I earned my Master of Arts in accounting.
I am very proud of…
building a career centered on service and leadership. I’m proud of earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, serving in financial leadership roles, and serving others through more than 18 years of pastoral ministry. Today, I’m especially proud to bring those experiences together to help families, individuals, and small-business owners build stronger financial futures while continuing to serve my community.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
worked in healthcare for 13 years, served as a licensed funeral director for 14 years, and have devoted 19 years to pastoral ministry. Each of these roles has given me the opportunity to serve individuals and families during some of life’s most important and most difficult moments. Those experiences continue to shape the way I serve my members today.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
I believe in the power of fraternalism and bringing people together to make a meaningful difference. Modern Woodmen lets me help individuals and families plan for greater financial security while also working alongside my members to strengthen and serve our communities. It allows me to combine two things I’m passionate about: helping people prepare for their future and making a positive impact today.
The best part of my career is…
seeing how God has continually provided opportunities for me to serve while supporting my family and the congregations I’ve been blessed to lead. Throughout each season of my career, I’ve used my experiences to help others and make a difference.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
I realized that the greatest impact often comes from simply being there when people need you most. Whether helping a family through a difficult season, serving a congregation, or helping someone prepare financially for the future, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people during important moments in their lives.
Also…
I understand firsthand why financial preparation matters. I lost my father in an offshore accident when I was 12 years old, and I saw the financial challenges my mother faced afterward. That experience has stayed with me and is one of the reasons I’m passionate about helping families prepare for the unexpected.
