Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.
I serve members in…
the Archdale-Trinity community and all of Randolph County.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.
I enjoy working with…
people. I am a people person, and meeting new people is an added bonus of being a financial representative.
I attended…
Davidson County Community College with an associate's degree in Computer Science.
I am very proud of…
my role as a financial representative. Though I am fairly new, I have my life license, and my FIC designation. I have enjoyed these educational experiences because I feel all the training, classwork and exams will make me a better representative and allow me to serve my clients better.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
was a financial secretary at Wheatmore High School for eight years. I loved my job and the connection it allowed me to have with my community.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
I was looking for a challenging job that would still allow me to make an impact on the people I care about and the community I love. I believe this job nurtures my need to help others in a much grander way.
The best part of my career is…
when I leave a family in much better shape than where I found them. When I go to a meeting, my main objective is to discuss their needs and then show them ways to meet those needs. Whether it's planning for their retirement or protecting their families with life insurance, I feel good knowing I helped make a positive impact on their lives.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
I went on my first meeting alone and was able to passionately and wisely convince a young couple that they needed protection, even though they didn't have any children. It was definitely a joyous moment for me, and I could not wait to phone my managing partner to share the news!

I want to change the perception of insurance one family at a time. Because I worked in the school system, I witnessed several sad events that were only magnified because the family did not have funds to bury their loved one. Although our community will rally to help those in need, life insurance is a guaranteed way to protect those you love the most. Armed with the knowledge of life insurance, IRAs, and retirement planning, I feel I have a variety of ways to make a difference.
