I am very proud of…

earning the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I am most proud of my daughter, Lillie Claire, and being given the chance to raise her in a wonderful community.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a volunteer fireman, police officer and then an EMT, where I helped people daily. I now help people by planning for their financial future.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I enjoy helping other people, and Modern Woodmen allows me to help even more people through financial planning and fraternal benefits.

The best part of my career is…

being able to help people plan for their future and put together a plan that meets their needs.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

doing a social event where children were given plain cookies and icing to decorate them for Easter. The kids had so much fun, and I saw lots of smiles that night.

I’m a member of…

North Winona Baptist Church, Winona Business Association, Rotary Club of Winona and the Kilmichael Lions Club. I also serve on the Kilmichael Volunteer Fire Department.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

Rotary Club of Winona's Rotary Radio Day, where Rotarians become DJs for the day. The event raises funds for scholarships for local high school seniors.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

volunteering alongside other Modern Woodmen members.

This Christmas, our members had the honor of partnering with the Baptist Children’s Village in Water Valley for a service project that was truly close to our hearts. Through a multi‑chapter effort, we were able to donate much‑needed food, essential supplies, and even a brand‑new basketball goal for the children to enjoy. What made this project especially meaningful was having Sammy Frank take part with us. Sammy is the husband of our chapter coordinator, Marilyn Frank, and his story brings everything full circle. In 1941, when Sammy was just a baby, he and his siblings were taken in by the Baptist Children’s Village. The following year, he was adopted by a loving family a moment that changed the entire course of his life. Sammy went on to serve in the military, raise a family, and build a wonderful life… all beginning with the care and support he received from the Baptist Children’s Village. Having Sammy with us as we gave back to the very place that once gave him a homemade this project unforgettable. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve, to give, and to honor stories like Sammy’s that remind us why community matters. #ModernWoodmenOfAmerica #ServiceProject #GivingBack #CommunityFirst #BaptistChildrensVillage
