Matt and Shed, alongside fellow Modern Woodmen members, recently came together to support BJ McKay and his family after they tragically lost their home to a fire. Thanks to an incredible outpouring of generosity from our community, funds were raised to help the McKay's begin rebuilding and Modern Woodmen was proud to match $2,500 to make an even bigger impact. Even more exciting, the McKay family has officially closed on their new home and has started the process of moving in! 🏡 This is what it’s all about—neighbors helping neighbors and making a difference when it matters most. Matt and local Modern Woodmen members recently had the opportunity to partner with Chris Gray, Director of the Charleston Recovery Center, to provide some much-needed supplies for their program. The Charleston Recovery Center in Charleston, MS serves individuals on their journey to overcoming addiction, offering support, accountability, and a path toward a healthier, more stable future. Their work is truly making an impact right here in our community—helping people rebuild their lives one step at a time. In April, our local Modern Woodmen chapter had the opportunity to serve a meal to our local linemen in honor of Lineman Appreciation Day a small way to say a big thank you. At Modern Woodmen, giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do, and we are incredibly grateful for the men and women who work tirelessly to keep the lights on especially during challenging times like Winter Storm Fern, when their hard work and quick response made such a difference. We also had some fun door prizes for the linemen as a small token of our appreciation! 🎁 A special thank you to Pig-In-Out BBQ, owners Brit and Tracy Goodin, and their team for catering the meal. As long-time members, they went above and beyond to help make this event a success.
