Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I’m passionate about helping my members determine their financial goals. We work together to create a plan based on their unique needs.

I serve members in…

Mississippi and throughout the United States.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

families, those approaching retirement, small-business owners and people with unique situations that require detailed planning.

I attended…

Holmes Community College.

I am very proud of…

earning the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I am most proud of my daughter, Lillie Claire, and being given the chance to raise her in a wonderful community.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a volunteer fireman, police officer and then an EMT, where I helped people daily. I now help people by planning for their financial future.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I enjoy helping other people, and Modern Woodmen allows me to help even more people through financial planning and fraternal benefits.

The best part of my career is…

being able to help people plan for their future and put together a plan that meets their needs.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

doing a social event where children were given plain cookies and icing to decorate them for Easter. The kids had so much fun, and I saw lots of smiles that night.

I’m passionate about…

serving God and sharing his Gospel.

My greatest blessing is…

my daughter, Lillie Claire, my nephew, Cutler, and my niece, Rowyn. I love spending time with them and making memories.

My personal motto is…

"Be the reason someone smiles today."

My hidden talent is…

Community impact

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

my entire life.

What I like best about my community is…

how neighbors still help neighbors.

I’m a member of…

North Winona Baptist Church, Winona Business Association, Rotary Club of Winona and the Kilmichael Lions Club. I also serve on the Kilmichael Volunteer Fire Department.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

Rotary Club of Winona's Rotary Radio Day, where Rotarians become DJs for the day. The event raises funds for scholarships for local high school seniors.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

volunteering alongside other Modern Woodmen members.

I'm excited to announce that I have earned two new designations from the Fraternal Field Managers’ Association (FFMA). I successfully completed the necessary coursework to earn his Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow (FICF) and Fraternal Financial Services Counselor (FFSC) designations. The Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow designation represents the second level of professional development in insurance and financial industries, with a focus on Estate Planning, Business Insurance, and Financial Products. The Fraternal Financial Services Counselor designation is the third and final step in advancing as a Fraternal Professional, providing agents with specialized knowledge in retirement planning, strategy, and analytics. I am pictured alongside Modern Woodmen Managing Partner Ron Bradley.

The gospel concert held for Damascus Road Recovery Center was a huge success, with Modern Woodmen generously matching $2,250 of the funds raised. Matt is pictured Ken Coleman pastor at Damascus Road. #CommunityImpact #SupportLocalCauses

🌟 We're “Wild About Animals” this year at Modern Woodmen! Members and Representative Matt Bennett, joined forces with WAAG and Animal Control Officer Ricky Johnson to help our furry friends. Together, we provided much-needed dog food, medicine, and supplies to those in need. Big thanks to Ron Wood and the awesome staff at Hi Grade Farm Supply for their generous support! 💚 #WildAboutAnimals #CommunitySupport #FurryFriends 🐾 Pictured are WAGG members Jeanette Weed, Marsha Flynn, Rep.
