Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I enjoy providing clarity and breaking complex situations down into simple solutions that will give my clients’ confidence in their financial situation.

I serve members in…

the San Gabriel Valley, Inland Empire, and Orange County, California. But through Zoom, I've been taken as far as Germany to serve my clients.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

county and government employees, teachers (to provide clear direction and understanding of their 403(b) and CalSTRS), those in law enforcement, and nurses. My wife is a nurse.

I attended…

California Baptist University, graduating with a degree in marketing.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

I was a full-time student, a full-time employee, and a new husband, searching for a career where I could not only make an impact in people's lives, but also build a life around what I care for most in this world -- my faith, family and friends.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

culture is everything, and at Modern Woodmen I work with some of the most amazing people. There is something special about working for an organization that builds its core around like-minded individuals who will always choose people first.

The best part of my career is…

spending time with my clients. I get the opportunity to meet with people and ask questions about why they do what they do and about what brings them joy in life. This leads to deep conversations. It may sound cliche', but I learn and appreciate more in life every day by hearing about my clients' journeys and learning what they desire for their financial resources.

“I enjoy providing clarity and breaking complex situations down into simple solutions that will give my clients confidence in their financial situation.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife, Heidi; our three dogs, Luna (shepherd/collie), Daisy (terrier), and Nora (Malinois/lab; our ball python; and over 60 houseplants that make our home a colorful and eventful place to live.

In my free time, you can find me…

playing racquetball with the locals at the gym, doing resistance training in my garage, spending time with friends and searching for the best-kept-secret locations for margaritas, or camping and hiking with the rooftop tent camper attached to our Jeep.

I’m passionate about…

my faith, my family and my friends. These are wound together in the work I do every day, and what you see is what you get.

My greatest blessing is…

where my wife and I are today. I count my blessings and pray for continued opportunity to be able to do what I love and to do it in a way that literally changes the projection of clients' lives.

My personal motto is…

Know yourself and what you stand for, listen with intent and ask good questions, and be driven to help others. Success will follow.

Community impact

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

my entire life!

What I like best about my community is…

the heart people have to build each other up. This last year, I experienced many instances of people within the community offering one another resources to make sure we continue to thrive in the midst of a tough couple of years. I am thankful and blessed to be where I am today.

I’m a member of…

American Red Cross, Business Network International (BNI), Fontana Chamber of Commerce, and Redeemer Baptist Church.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

serving on the board of the local American Red Cross chapter and helping provide resources to several nonprofits in Southern California.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

service projects. They allow us to give back to organizations and people. For example, since COVID has hit hospitals hard for medical professionals all across the world, we used our projects to show appreciation and provide 1,000+ meals to nurses in our area.
