I feel truly blessed to make a living by helping others and the communities around me. Every day, I work with people to overcome financial challenges and build a more secure future. I also support my community through our fraternal programs and activities, making my work deeply rewarding!

I serve members in…

southeastern Wisconsin. I also serve members throughout the state and in other parts of the country!

I enjoy working with…

families, business owners, nurses and individuals preparing for or already in retirement. I also love helping with employee benefits.

I attended…

Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota (the most German city in America). I also earned a Certified Financial Planner certification from Waukesha County Technical College.

I am very proud of…

"Why did you become a financial representative?" From time to time, I'll get this question. Before becoming a financial representative, I worked as a teacher and then went into promotions! I always knew that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. My previous two jobs allowed me to make this difference.. but I wanted to do more! That's when I found Modern Woodmen. Having the opportunity to sit down with clients and help them with their finances is SO rewarding. The best feeling is seeing the relief that my clients have after meeting with me. All the unknowns. I'll admit something strange... 🫣 I work on weekends! I find that I'm more productive and clients are more receptive to weekend phone calls (since I have clients who work longer shifts during the week). This might not work for all financial reps. However, we all have different strategies! That's the beauty of this industry! So while everyone else is enjoying their weekend (which they should!), I'm getting LOTS of work done for the following week. We don't recommend saving for retirement earlier just because... it's because long-term savings strategies WORK! When you save a small portion consistently over time, you don't strain your finances. "You won't have the answers to every question. And that's OK!" If I could give one piece of advice to new financial reps, I'd tell them this. As a new financial representative, you're learning LOTS of new ideas and strategies. You are constantly studying and preparing for your certifications. However, sometimes your clients will throw a curve ball question. There are two ways to go about this... 📌 You can fake your way through the answer and dodge the question. 📌You can be HONEST. Let your client know that you'll get back to them. (Correct Answer!!) It's OKAY to not know all the answers! No one expects us to be perfect. Just like we want our clients to be open and honest with us... you need to be open and honest! 📌 What advice would you give new financial reps?
