Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I want to help people thrive in the stewardship of their resources. Through practical planning and personally customized strategies, they can achieve their life goals.

I serve members in…

north-central Ohio, including Richland County and surrounding areas.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, fixed and variable annuities, mutual funds and third-party managed portfolios that include stocks, bonds and ETFs.

I enjoy working with…

anyone serious about aligning their finances with their values – particularly for faith, family and the good of the community.

I attended…

North Central State College for my associate’s degree in business and finance, Mount Vernon Nazarene University for my bachelor’s degree in business, and Moody Theological Seminary for my master’s degree in biblical theology.

I am very proud of…

my wife's homemaking, tenacity and gentility in raising our kiddos, and useful marketplace skills.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

helped a multimillion-dollar church through financial crisis as the finance and human resources director. I also founded and directed a nonprofit that helped young adults thrive spiritually and professionally in Richland County.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I can help individuals and businesses develop strategic plans to accomplish their goals. I believe in Modern Woodmen’s values, such as cultivating healthy families and communities that demonstrate integrity, excellence and generosity. I'm honored to be a part of this district’s superb team.

The best part of my career is…

helping clients understand how to meaningfully accomplish their goals.

“I serve members in the greater North Central Ohio Region, Richland County and surrounding areas.”

Well, I’ve officially completed my second‑to‑last CFP®️ class--and just enrolled in one that remains. These courses have certainly been insightful--but mostly they've been affirming and encouraging. It seems we're doing a lot of things very well! I’m excited to being well on my way to being endorsed as Certified Financial Planner™️ #CFP #FinancialPlanning #HelpingClientsWin #FinancialAdvisorLife #RiskManagement #WealthManagement

We’ve been named to Forbes list of the world’s best life insurance companies for the third year in a row! I’m grateful to be a part of this organization and for my amazing members! Learn more: modernwoodmen.org/Forbes2025 #ModernSince1883 #PioneersForLife

I'm excited to share that I've knocked out five of the seven CFP courses over the last nine months--and have registered for the sixth! This endeavor has reinforced something I believe deeply: the best advice can only come from those committed to continual growth. Here’s to the final stretch—and to serving clients with the highest standard of care. #CFP #FinancialPlanning #HelpingClientsWin #FinancialAdvisor #RiskManagement #WealthManagement

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month — a timely reminder that risk management isn’t just a box to check. It’s the foundation of every sound financial plan. Before we talk investments, retirement, or legacy, we ask: What happens if life doesn’t go as planned? Life insurance helps protect what matters most — your income, your family, your future. It’s not about fear. It’s about stewardship, generosity, and responsibility. This month, take a moment to ask: 👉Is my protection aligned with my purpose? 👉 Would my loved ones be financially secure if the unexpected happened?
