Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

to help members with their financial stability. I grew up with parents who had no retirement, and I want to make sure that doesn't happen to other families.

I serve members in…

Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho and Western Montana.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance and annuities.

I enjoy working with…

families of all ages.

I attended…

Whitworth University and Eastern Washington University.

I am very proud of…

my members reaching their financial goals and the impact we have on the community.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

spent 16 years with another financial services provider managing a team of retirement specialists.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

of fraternalism. It allows me to help my community!

The best part of my career is…

the support I get from Modern Woodmen in helping my members.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I set up my 19-year-old son with a Roth IRA and a life insurance policy. I wanted him to have the start that I didn't have.

“Modern Woodmen membership is about relationships. We take time to get to know you and your needs. Get to know me and how we might connect.”

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

my entire life.

What I like best about my community is…

it's a larger city that feels like a small town.

I’m a member of…

St. Mary's Church, the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Volunteers of Central Valley School District.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

helping kids in the Central Valley School District.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

the Hometown Hero award.

What's one thing you want to teach your kids about money that you wish someone had taught you earlier?

00:00 / 00:00

Financial planning isn't just about money. It's about peace of mind for the people who matter most. One day your kids will remember two things – how you loved them and how you prepared for their future.

Given the number of recent natural disasters across the country, I feel it’s a good time to remind members of the Modern Woodmen program, Financial Relief Fund. This program is for members suffering a financial hardship due to a serious health problem, fire or natural disaster. You can find more information here or contact me to learn more. https://www.modernwoodmen.org/my-membership/member-benefits/financial-relief-fund/
