I had the honor of recognizing one of our 2026 Modern Woodmen Scholarship recipients this morning at his High School Awards banquet. This outstanding student has demonstrated excellence both academically and athletically throughout his high school career. As a Dual Credit student, he will graduate not only with his high school diploma, but also with an associate’s degree from Weatherford College. He is a 3-year member of the National Honor Society, maintained an exceptional 98.5 GPA throughout all four years of high school, and ranks in the Top 15% of his graduating class. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he has shown dedication and leadership in athletics as a 3-year member of the Varsity Football Team and a 4-year Varsity Starter on the Baseball Team. Some of his athletic awards are being named 2025 2nd team academic All State for football, 2025 District Offensive Player of the Year, and 2025 All Parker County Catcher of the Year. He is also in the running for earning All Parker County Catcher of the year for 2026.
