Hillbilly Days 2026…
After nearly 40 years of experiencing our local Hillbilly Days Festival in Pikeville, KY, this has by far been the best for me! Not because of the festival itself, but because of Local and National support for OUR local community! Our Home Office invested in our Local Regional Office and sponsored a Dino Roar Tour for our local children! Our Fraternal department went above and beyond with planning, ideas and funding to make this a success! We gave members approximately 150 wristbands for the carnival. We handed out apparel, backpacks, toys, etc, free of charge to hundreds of children at our festival! We gave away power wheels, a yeti cooler, Stanley cups and much more!
My favorite comment from the whole event is, “It’s amazing what Modern Woodmen is doing here!”
And that’s still not the best part! I am humbled to say we had 15 local MW representatives (not counting their families) give up their time to serve the people and children of our amazing little Eastern KY town!
