My wife, Diane, and I have been married since 1985. We have twin sons: Nick, who is married to Michaela and has one daughter, Lenora, and Ryan, who is engaged to his fiancée, Erin.

I'm a member of…

several industry groups, including NAIFA, GAMA, NAFIC and the Society of Financial Services Professionals. I'm also part of many community organizations, including the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, the Sales and Marketing Executives of Sioux Falls, the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Holy Spirit men's group.

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

we are part of that community. It's our way of giving back and meeting new people!

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

working with members of the community and identifying a need, then working together using Modern Woodmen's programs to fulfill that need.

providing over $2 million in fraternal contributions to our South Dakota communities in 2015!

Current insights

This holiday season, reimagine what giving back can look like. Here are a few ways to make heartfelt community gestures. 1. Partner with a local animal shelter to host a “pet pantry” of donated pet food, treats and toys. 2. Organize a holiday story hour at a local library or school and read seasonal books aloud. 3. Set up a tree at a local business where community members can hang donated hats, gloves and scarves for those in need. 4. Provide moments of joy on everyday routes by leaving holiday cards or small treats for postal workers or delivery drivers.
