was a teacher at Palmyra-Eagle High School. I taught middle and high school math for 15 years.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

it allows me to make an impact in the community. Teaching for 15 years put me in the forefront of my local community. My transition to Modern Woodmen allows me to still be a leader in the community.

The best part of my career is…

interacting with a variety of people and helping them plan their financial future.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife of 13 years, Megan, and my two sons, Trezdon and Marshall.

In my free time, you can find me…

doing a little bit of everything. I have a lot of irons in the fire. I coach my sons' sports teams. I play on a 35-and-older baseball team and several softball teams. In the winter, I am on several dartball teams. In between all of that, I help out on the family farm.

I’m passionate about…

my family and friends. I love following and supporting all of the Wisconsin sports teams.

My personal motto is…

the expert in anything was once a beginner. Live life with an open mind and always be eager to learn.

My hidden talent is…

that my family and I tap maple trees each spring and make pure maple syrup. We have about 120 sugar maple trees on the family farm. I am also trying my hand at starting a vineyard with over 130 grapevines planted and growing.

I have lived in my community…

for most of my life. I was born and raised in the Watertown, WI, area. After college, I relocated to Delavan, WI, and spent about 10 years there. I have since moved back to Watertown and have been here ever since.

What I like best about my community is…

that people genuinely care for one another and give back to make this community great.

I’m a member of…

St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashippun, WI. I am also a member of the Palmyra Area Chamber of Commerce.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

fundraisers that raise money for local organizations. It is also very important to me to participate in activities where I can bring my kids to teach them the importance of giving back.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.
