Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I enjoy meeting new people every day. This career gives me the opportunity to work with families to protect their futures and their goals. We plan now so the future can be brighter.

I serve members in…

West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance and annuities.

I enjoy working with…

all different groups of people. I can learn from young families, retirees and small-business owners and help them secure the lives of their families.

I attended…

Ohio Valley University from 2004-2008 and Parkersburg South High School, Class of 2004.

I am very proud of…

my six kids! I am also proud of my 8 years in the industry. I am proud that I have been able to help almost 200 people secure their goals and futures over those 8 years.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

had various types of customer service careers. I started working when I was 16 and have not looked back since.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

this organization cares for its members and their families. I know that when I do business with a family, Modern Woodmen will treat them with the same respect that I do.

The best part of my career is…

helping families. Whether we're planning for their retirement or protecting their families with life insurance, I feel good knowing I helped make a positive impact on their lives.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I filed a death claim for a family whose mother had passed away. Through the same planning process I use, their father (a former representative) prepared the family to care for their mother throughout her life well after he had passed. In return, they benefited because they did not have to pay out-of-pocket for the excellent care she received.

I started working with Modern Woodmen to learn about the business and my family. In the last 8 years I have grown in leadership, organizational skills and event planning. This career has given me the opportunity to change not only my life, but all those I come into contact with.

“My greatest blessing is my family and friends.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife (Sarah), my three sons (Clifton, Kasen and Ty), and my three daughters (Mackenzie, Adeline and Bella).

In my free time, you can find me…

coaching my kids' baseball and softball teams or playing with them outside. We love spending time in the creation God has given to us.

I’m passionate about…

my family and serving God to the best of my ability.

My greatest blessing is…

my family and friends.

My personal motto is…

to remember who I am and Whose I am.

a favorite scripture for me is Phil. 4:13; "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for 36 years. I have grown up in Parkersburg, and I am happy to be able to call it home.

What I like best about my community is…

people care about each other and what is happening around them. We love our schools and our sports teams, and even though there is a rivalry, we can come together afterwards and still enjoy time together.

I’m a member of…

the Camden Avenue Church of Christ. I volunteer as a youth leader (fifth grade and under) and a baseball coach for the Mineral Wells baseball and softball programs.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

coaching my kids' sports teams and visiting Love and Care Assisted Living Home with the youth group.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

enjoying social and educational opportunities with my local Modern Woodmen chapter.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

when we honor one of our Hometown Heroes. These are the ones who make some of the biggest impacts in our communities.

Family and friends

When I was looking to change career paths, I looked for something I could do to help those I come into contact with. I looked for a career that could benefit not only myself, but also my family. I looked for a career where I could make an impact on all those who would allow me the time to help them on their path through life. I found Modern Woodmen. A place that would allow me to reach my goals, and help others reach their goals. An organization that put more into the members instead of the bank. The creed, "All that we send into the lives of others, comes back into our own" made a profound impact on me and my decision. Let me help you and your family, and in return expand with a new Modern Woodmen family!
