Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.
I serve members in…
all over California, including my hometown of San Diego.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.
I enjoy working with…
business owners, entrepreneurs and those approaching retirement who need options. I will help you create your own personal plan with your goals and dreams in mind, then show you how to execute your plan so you can achieve a happy retirement that most only dream about!
I attended…
Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.
I am very proud of…
my professional accomplishments: a 2015 nominee for Women of Influence of San Diego and founder of Connections Business Networking and Money Mindset Makeover. I have also qualified for four sales conference trips in my five years with Modern Woodmen. My greatest accomplishment so far is being a mentor to women who want more in life and in business. It's not where you're from that makes you who you are, it's what have you accomplished with what you were given!
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
worked as a tax accountant in the petroleum industry for over 22 years. I also have experience in human resources and payroll activities.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
this organization truly cares about people! I love how it supports many communities through its charitable contributions. I can say I'm proud to be a Modern Woodmen representative.
The best part of my career is…
listening to the many stories my clients tell me about their lives, finding out who they are and how bright they shine. I feel amazing when I walk away knowing I just protected another family from not being covered with life insurance. We also go over different plans for retirement. I feel great knowing I helped make a positive impact on their lives.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
I insured my best friend of over 30 years. She was an avid horsewomen and trainer, and she always worked for herself. She'd never really thought about life insurance but trusted my advice. (I'm so happy she did.) About four years later, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She is now uninsurable, but because she did the right thing, her family is protected. This still brings tears to my eyes.

being a financial rep with Modern Woodmen allows me to do what I love -- and this work never feels like work! What more could one want in a career?
