I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I believe in fraternalism, and how we support our communities with fraternal activities. We also help our members reach their financial goals and protect their families with life insurance. I believe life insurance is very important for the financial security it can bring to families and businesses.

The best part of my career is…

helping members and making new friends. It feels great knowing I'm making a positive impact in our members' lives.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I helped deliver life insurance death claim proceeds, although these are sad times for families. I love being there to give them a hug and help them financially. Life insurance helped my family maintain its standard of living after my father died. It's an honor to help others after the loss of a loved one.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife Tracy; our children, Emily and Peyton; and our five grandchildren.

In my free time, you can find me…

raveling, fishing, lobstering, hunting and spending time with my family. I also love football and was a pretty good kicker when I was younger. I like teaching young athletes the process and steps of punting. My former high school coach, Pete Valentino, had faith in me and sent me to an Auburn University kicking clinic. Thanks Coach Val, for being my other dad at school.

Is being born again, saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, and having everlasting life.

My personal motto is…

always treat others the way you would want to be treated.

My hidden talent is…

building things and making things work, like building my own home or barns and fixing equipment. There's nothing I can't do when I set my mind to it!

all my life, between Union and Clay counties. I'm a fifth generation Floridian.

What I like best about my community is…

First Baptist Church of Keystone Heights and Modern Woodmen of America. And I'm willing to help anywhere I'm needed.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

coaching sports, guiding people how to own a business, and building things for people in need, such as a wheelchair ramp.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

a Matching Fund project to help raise $5,000 for a cancer patient's bills. I'm happy to say they're healthy today!
