One of my favorite parts of what we do at Modern Woodmen is getting the opportunity to recognize the people who quietly make a huge impact in our communities every single day. This week, we were honored to present our Hometown Hero Award to Sarah Urban, counselor at Henry Middle School. Sarah was nominated by a fellow teacher for consistently going above and beyond for both her students and staff. The care, encouragement, and support she pours into others does not go unnoticed, and it’s clear she plays a major role in creating a positive environment for everyone around her. As a Henry Middle School alumni myself, this recognition was especially meaningful. It’s always rewarding to give back to the school and community that helped shape who I am today.
