Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.
I serve members in…
Modesto, California, who ask me to see their friends and family throughout Northern California. I also serve my friends and family in South Dakota.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.
I enjoy working with…
people who like to learn how to protect money in creative and safe ways. I have met many kind and loyal people who live their lives with integrity.
I attended…
Northern State University, where I received a bachelor's degree, and Moorhead State University, where I received my master's degree.
I am very proud of…
earning the Agent of the Year award for the Mina Mostoufi region for eight consecutive years; placing first in career schools one and two and first in Modern Woodmen of America's Financial Advisers Forum; earning Million Dollar Round Table, Chairman's Council from the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors, Century Club, President's Club and President's Cabinet; and qualifying for Modern Woodmen's National Conference 16 years in a row.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
was an instructor at Northern State University. I treated patients at TCH, a corporate private practice, managed rehabilitation and social service departments for 30 convalescent hospitals in Northern California, participated in developing a training curriculum for restorative nursing through the state of California, and published and presented work at the local, state and international level.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
I wanted to work in an environment that was supportive, without pressure, adhered to strong ethical standards and cared about employees and the people they served. I believe in Modern Woodmen not only for how the members are supported to meet their financial goals, but also for the community involvement with our educational programs, youth programs and Matching Fund projects.
The best part of my career is…
teaching my clients about asset protection and different types of life insurance and investments. I feel it's important that clients make informed and confident decisions about their financial futures. My career with Modern Woodmen allows me to teach rather than to sell. Our full-service organization allows me to come to your home or office to review your documents and work with you and your CPA and/or attorney.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
my client was able, at age 70, to qualify for a life insurance policy which will allow her to pay her daughter back $400,000. When my client's husband died, her daughter cashed in her entire retirement savings to help her mother save their ranch. Her daughter has paid all of the bills and the mortgage for 25 years, and the life insurance benefit will allow the daughter to have monies in her retirement days.
Also…
my father was a teacher, and he was a member of Modern Woodmen. When he died of nasal pharyngeal cancer at the age of 60, I was able to see how Modern Woodmen kept its promises. I love working for an organization that is nothing but honest and ethical and truly puts the members first.
