I joined Modern Woodmen because I find joy in guiding others. Whether a member has a simple situation or a complex one, I take the time to understand their unique needs and offer solid and creative solutions to help them achieve their goals.

it's refreshing to find an organization that cares about its people like we do and finds intentional ways to give back to our members and our community.

The best part of my career is…

supporting our members. Whether in guiding them in their journey to retirement or protecting their loved ones with life insurance, I find satisfaction in knowing I help bring peace of mind to them and their families.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I was working with a couple who felt like they were up against the wall with their finances. They needed to take steps to protect their family and steps to build for their retirement, but their finances felt squeezed. There was a moment in that meeting where I dropped my pen and realized I needed to ask a few tough questions. As I did, the confusion and the difficulty they were experiencing cleared out of the room, and we could all see a path forward.

... I live by a principle with my clients which can best be described like this: if your finances are a ship, your place is at the helm, steering. My role is in the crow's nest. I will tell you what I see, whether we are on course, or if there is a hazard ahead. However, I will always defer to you and what you know to be the right decision for you and your family.

My family includes…

my wife, Brittani, our two boys, Silas and Gideon, and our dog, Ollie. I have the utmost respect for Brittani, a mother surrounded by so much wildness and tenacity.

In my free time, you can find me…

chasing my littles, fishing with friends or writing (more likely editing ... ) at a local coffee shop.

My greatest blessing is…

my friends, my family and our church community. I'm thankful for our strong relationships and our commitment to grow them deeper day by day.

My hidden talent is…

... well, I'm not too shabby at ultimate Frisbe.

since 2004, when I discovered the Black Hills in college.

What I like best about my community is…

its beauty. You can find it in our city, our people and the stunning Black Hills that surround us.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:
