Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I specialize in financial planning for families and business owners. We use a holistic approach to help our clients achieve their financial dreams while also avoiding costly financial pitfalls. We help our clients through retirement strategies and insurance protection.
I serve members in…
Hampstead, North Carolina, and surrounding areas.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance and annuities.
I enjoy working with…
families and small, local businesses. There's a joy that comes with helping young parents secure a future for their family. I feel a sense of comradery and community when helping a local business thrive or give a business owner the exit strategy they so desperately need.
I attended…
the College of Wilmington, where I received my massage therapy certification.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
was in the health and wellness field. I spent four years doing deep tissue and Asian sports massage, as well as wellness coaching with a nutrition company.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
I experienced heart and humanity through everyone in the organization. I believe that people should be treated like people, not statistics. I love that I can stand behind the integrity of an organization, confident that they truly care about people.
The best part of my career is…
the responses. The look on an old man's face when you tell him his wife will be taken care of financially when he passes, or the proud parent of a baby as they picture their child grown and walking across the college graduation stage. The best part of my career is I get to create happy moments that matter for my members.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
I went to meet with a couple to introduce myself as their new servicing agent after their previous financial representative retired. They were both retired military and in need of some help with their retirement plan. I asked my senior representative if she would accompany me, as she had more knowledge on the products they currently had. We met with them several times and got to know them fairly well. This man had one focus on his mind, to make sure his wife was provided for after he passes away.

I believe that everyone has their own life and stress to worry about day-to-day. If someone can think or plan a month in advance with all of the other stresses of adult life happening...they are doing great! That's where we come into play, to help them plan years or decades into their future and allow them to focus on their day-to-day.
