Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
As a husband, a father of four and a grandfather of four beautiful granddaughters, I have been extremely blessed. Through the years, even before entering the life insurance and financial services business, I always felt a real need and desire to protect the ones I love. Early in my career, I experienced a life-altering experience when, in the space of just six months, both of my brothers-in-law were killed in separate accidents. From that day on, I realized this was my calling.
I serve members in…
Lee's Summit, Missouri, but I am also licensed in Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Florida and Illinois.
I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…
life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.
I enjoy working with…
anyone who needs my help, but I work a lot with wealth accumulation and preservation cases. I have done a lot of work both with seniors and small-business owners. These folks tend to have a lot of issues currently with the tax, interest and investment climate.
I attended…
Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I have a B.S. in Business Education, a B.S. in Business Administration and an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science. I also attended St. Paul School of Theology and received a master's degree in Theology. I have also attended numerous schools in financial services.
I am very proud of…
my career in financial services that is now in its 37th year. I have earned several industry designations, and I am a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
was a pastor for 12 years. I also have taught business courses both in high school and college.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
I believe in the organization -- not only for how it supports members to help them reach their financial goals, but also for the way it supports my community and allows me to give back.
The best part of my career is…
seeing the results of my work in helping individuals, families and small businesses plan for the future contingencies that none of us can always anticipate. And making sure that my clients' loved ones are protected no matter what the future brings is a reward that cannot be measured. This is a legacy that will live on long after I am gone.
A favorite moment in my career was when…
I also had the worst moment. It was the day I delivered a claim check to my sister-in-law after the tragic death of her husband. The pride it brought me, knowing that my actions protected her and my nephews financially, was the greatest feeling ever.
