Our local Modern Woodmen chapter recently had the honor of surprising Tim McBride as this year’s Hometown Hero, and what a well-deserved recognition it is! Where do we even begin when it comes to the impact Tim has made in our community? With an incredible 47-year career at Delta Electric, Tim has worked tirelessly to keep the lights on especially through countless storms and natural disasters. Beyond his career, Tim is a devoted husband, dad, and granddad. He serves as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and Rotarian, and gives his time and leadership to several organizations including the Board of Directors at Tyler Holmes Hospital, Christ’s Cross at the Crossroads, and the Bank of Winona. In many of these roles, he has stepped up as a leader, always putting others first. Matt and Shed, alongside fellow Modern Woodmen members, recently came together to support BJ McKay and his family after they tragically lost their home to a fire. Thanks to an incredible outpouring of generosity from our community, funds were raised to help the McKay's begin rebuilding and Modern Woodmen was proud to match $2,500 to make an even bigger impact. Even more exciting, the McKay family has officially closed on their new home and has started the process of moving in! 🏡 This is what it’s all about—neighbors helping neighbors and making a difference when it matters most.
