Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

For me, this career is about providing the utmost care to ensure members are comfortable and confident in services. I relish the opportunity to get to know each person, and I take great pride in building connections, identifying concerns, and offering solutions that are effective and economical. Finances are a delicate matter, and families’ futures should be managed sensitively. My goal is to consistently deliver my best and maintain clear, open communication.

I serve members in…

northwest Indiana.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

families, small-business owners, schools and nonprofit organizations.

I attended…

Purdue University.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was an electrical technician for a couple years. Before that, I was a student at Purdue University.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

the organization offers me the chance to attain the life I desire while helping others achieve their own aspirations. This career allows me to assist others, which is why I’m eager to invest my heart and soul.

The best part of my career is…

informing my community on financial literacy and providing a service that’s desperately needed.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I was the No. 1 financial representative in Indiana for 2022 and 2023, an accomplishment I hope to continue. I also achieved Million Dollar Round Table membership in 2022, placing me in the top tier of industry professionals. I’ve been working hard to be my best for my community, and it was very rewarding to be recognized for those efforts.

“The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife, Elaina, and my two dogs, Brandy and Luna.

In my free time, you can find me…

working around our house and small hobby farm. We raise chickens and have a small apple orchard. We hope to add goats and pigs to our homestead soon.

I’m passionate about…

being good to one another and taking care of the people around me. We are all on this earth trying to get by and be loved. Let's help each other get there.

My greatest blessing is…

my wife and my family. They are my solid foundation and my safety net.

My personal motto is…

there is no such thing as a stranger.

My hidden talent is…

connecting with anyone I meet.

Community impact

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

my entire life. My roots run deep in south LaPorte County. Both sides of my family have lived here for generations.

What I like best about my community is…

the diverse lifestyles, from the beautiful downtown in Valparaiso to beachside in Michigan City. We have a national park less than 30 minutes away. Or you can choose a quiet, smalltown farm community in Union Mills, Wanatah or Hanna. Living here, you get the best of everything!

I’m a member of…

the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce and the board for Leadership LaPorte County.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

beautifying local parks and donating school supplies, clothes, coats and food to local families in need.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need and our annual coat drive.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

when we purchased and planted over $1,000 of trees in Hanna Park in 2019. It was a fun afternoon working alongside community members.

Members, there's still time for you and your family and friends to join us on our West Coast cruise! Cabins are almost full. Don't miss out on this exciting adventure in Cabo! https://na.eventscloud.com/CaboCruise/

This holiday season, reimagine what giving back can look like. Here are a few ways to make heartfelt community gestures. 1. Partner with a local animal shelter to host a “pet pantry” of donated pet food, treats and toys. 2. Organize a holiday story hour at a local library or school and read seasonal books aloud. 3. Set up a tree at a local business where community members can hang donated hats, gloves and scarves for those in need. 4. Provide moments of joy on everyday routes by leaving holiday cards or small treats for postal workers or delivery drivers. Modern Woodmen members, apply for a $200 Do-Good Grant®️ to try one of these ideas! https://www.modernwoodmen.org/do-good-grant/
