What Is a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO)?
A qualified domestic relations order (QDRO) is a legal document typically found in a divorce agreement. It recognizes that a spouse, former spouse, child, or other dependent is entitled to receive a predefined portion of the account owner’s retirement plan assets.
I recently had the honor of helping a newly divorced individual plan for their life after divorce, including learning to budget, the split of regular and retirement assets, planning for a new place to live and eventual retirement planning.
If you or someone you know is going through a divorce without a Financial Representative on their side, I would be happy to be a resource for them during this difficult transition.
If you have a QDRO, you need a WB.
