What Is a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO)? A qualified domestic relations order (QDRO) is a legal document typically found in a divorce agreement. It recognizes that a spouse, former spouse, child, or other dependent is entitled to receive a predefined portion of the account owner’s retirement plan assets. I recently had the honor of helping a newly divorced individual plan for their life after divorce, including learning to budget, the split of regular and retirement assets, planning for a new place to live and eventual retirement planning. If you or someone you know is going through a divorce without a Financial Representative on their side, I would be happy to be a resource for them during this difficult transition. On Tuesday, January 6 we were honored to deliver a $2500 matching fund check to Hadassah's Hope Director Tami Taunton. Tami and her team do an amazing job in our community. On Saturday, December 6 bright and early at 7am we had the pleasure of partnering with the Southside Businessmen’s Club to provide $1000 towards their annual children’s shopping event. 49 local children in need were partnered up with a volunteer to each receive a $200 shopping spree.
