Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

My services go beyond making sure my clients meet their personal financial goals through comprehensive financial planning. I am there for them and their families as life changes. My members are like my family, and the trust and peace of mind I give them makes this career so rewarding.

I serve members in…

Oklahoma and the surrounding areas. If you are in Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, Georgia or Arkansas, I can help you.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

investment advisory services, financial planning services, life insurance, annuities, stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

everyone from people nearing retirement to young professionals who are looking to learn how to prepare for their financial futures. I love their eagerness to learn.

I attended…

University of Oklahoma - Boomer Sooners!

I am very proud of…

earning two industry designations, my FICF and LUTCF, as well as having been on the cover of Modern Woodmen's Trailblazer magazine, which is sent out to the entire field force.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

it gives me the opportunity to touch people's lives and help them with things that are crucial to them when they need it.

The best part of my career is…

helping clients and my entire community.

Also…

I've learned so much through my career and through the people I've served and met. I will always be there for my clients and their loved ones.

“My services go beyond making sure my members have life insurance protection or the right retirement plan in place. I am there for them and their families as life changes, sometimes for the good, sometimes for the worse. My members are like my family, and the trust and peace of mind I am able to give them makes this career so rewarding.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my son and grandchildren.

In my free time, you can find me…

reading, cooking or gardening. I love reading, cooking, planting and growing things; I have a green thumb!

I’m passionate about…

community service -- being active in my community and being the voice for people who are voiceless.

My greatest blessing is…

family, friends and good health.

My personal motto is…

Modern Woodmen's creed: There is a destiny that makes us brothers; none goes his way alone; all that we send into the lives of others comes back into our own.

My hidden talent is…

cooking. My members love to eat at my house, and I love cooking for other people.

Community impact

In the community

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for 20 years.

What I like best about my community is…

the people.

I’m a member of…

Metropolitan Baptist Church, Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Rudisill Library and the Human Rights Commission of Tulsa, where I served as chair and vice chair.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

ones that involve helping and working with children and older adults.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

when members volunteered and donated their time to package and deliver Jared boxes to children at St. Francis Children's Hospital.

Orphan Support Benefit | Modern Woodmen

What happens to your kids if BOTH parents are gone? This is one of the hardest conversations I have with families -- and one of the most important. That's why I share options that go beyond life insurance. When you become a Modern Woodmen member with a life insurance or annuity contract, you'll have access to the Orphan Support Benefit. This program provides financial support for the care and education of qualifying children who lose both parents. Last month we held our 45th National Convention in Orlando, Florida. Nearly 200 member delegates came together to lead, serve and shape our future. Together, they: · Reviewed our bylaws and reflected on our financial and fraternal progress from 2022–2026. · Elected our board of directors and officers to guide us in the years ahead. · Gave back to the Orlando community by raising funds and packing essential bags for Miles To Go, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. The event was a meaningful reminder of the strength of our mission and the impact we can make together.
