Why I do what I do

I love building relationships with members and helping people achieve their financial goals. I love that I get to sit down with members face-to-face and listen to their concerns. My role is to help my clients realize their financial dreams while simultaneously helping them provide a solid foundation for their family to meet their current, individualized needs.

Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where I received my bachelor's degree in education in 2013.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

spent five years teaching middle school students math and social studies in Valley Springs, Arkansas. More importantly, I believe I taught them about life. I also spent several years (during the same time frame) as a youth minister for my local church congregation and youth group. I love working with kids, teens and young adults. I'm still in the relationship business and I still teach ... but now I educate people of all ages about money and finances.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

our core values can help people in SO many different ways. Our organization's fraternal benefits and offerings are what set us apart from many other financial service companies. Members are able to reach their individual goals and also help the community they live in directly. Also, Modern Woodmen has been around since 1883! We are safe and secure and plan to be for many years to come!

The best part of my career is…

building relationships and friendships with my clients. I am able to have a positive impact in the lives of the people I work with on a daily basis. I love looking people in the eye and knowing I helped them make a difference for their families!

my beautiful wife, Vanessa, and our wonderful daughters, Arabella and Adeline.

In my free time, you can find me…

spending time with my family and friends. I love being a dad, reading books to my baby girls, and playing with them. As a family, we also enjoy gardening, traveling and experiencing new places together, and doing anything outdoors. We are active in our church and love serving our community through Modern Woodmen. I enjoy reading when I can. I enjoy running, hiking, swimming, camping, competing in archery competitions, and hunting.

I’m passionate about…

helping young people. I enjoyed my time as a teacher and youth minister and loved making a difference in the life of my students. Now, I enjoy helping some of these same young people get off to a great financial start!

My greatest blessing is…

My local community impact

What I like best about my community is…

the wonderful people. Everyone cares for each other and we all try to help one another when someone is in need.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

helping my local church congregation by teaching Sunday school classes to the teens and volunteering to take them to events that foster enjoyable spiritual growth.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

supporting local public schools by providing them with free, hands-on educational materials that are designed to encourage academic and occupational growth -- and to help them begin planning for their financial success! I also love our chapter dinners. Our members enjoy eating at local restaurants at a discounted price.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

when we took our youth service club throughout our downtown square and passed out roses with positive affirmations on them. It sparked light in their eyes, making it a very rewarding event. Our members loved filling our community with a sweet gesture and saying, "We hope you have a blessed day!" Teaching youths the importance of giving back is something I'm glad we can be a part of through Modern Woodmen fraternalism.

Current insights

I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am for my wife and our children!!! They are such a blessing to my life. I have the sweetest little girls and the most beautiful wife! When I look at this picture, it reminds me of how strong my wife is... and the sacrifices she continually makes for the girls and myself. I see the curiosity, the joy, and the light of my little girls...I hope that, like them, I never stop learning and growing!! They have taught me so many things, and they put a smile on my face every day! My family and I are incredibly grateful to have spent some time in Florida this summer, for the 2026 Modern Woodmen National Convention in Orlando! We went down a couple of days early to get some much-needed family (and friend) time at the beach! I am thankful to work for a company that sends its top representatives (quite literally) all over the world! None of this would be possible without my AMAZING clients, family, and friends!!
