14 years in this business, I’ve seen one pattern happen over and over again. Waiting to plan for the future. No, you don’t have to be “rich” to start planning for retirement. 30 days left until the New Year. For most of us, you’re probably thinking this year flew by. At the start of the year, what were your goals? Did you achieve them? Most of us intend to achieve our goals, however we fall short. Why? Life gets busy. This can’t be your excuse forever. It’s so important to take steps to achieve your goals now. Often, I hear the phrase “Let’s chat about that next year.” When’s the right time to start saving for retirement? Contributing to your 401k? Getting life insurance? Remember that you don’t have to start big. You can start small and work your way up. Trust me on this, you don’t want to fall behind. “Remember when Black Friday used to be crazy???” Recently, I had a conversation with my assistant about Black Friday. She explained that she used to BEG her mom to go to the mall with her at 2/3am… That’s how she remembers Black Friday. 📌 Crazy deals 📌Fights over tvs 📌Loads of people Now, those deals don’t happen. You don’t see stuff like that anymore…. However, I’m happy to see things changing. (and she is too!!) Stores staying closed on Black Friday. Deals extending on further (not just on Black Friday). Stores recognizing the importance of family. Everyone should get the chance to spend time with family. As times change, it’s important to remember the WHY. Thanksgiving is time to be with friends and family. Everyone deserves that time.
