📝 Happy National Bad Poetry Day! 📝 Today is August 18th, which means it’s officially the one day of the year where being a terrible writer is actually celebrated. No metaphors, no beautiful imagery, and absolutely no literary talent required. The best investment you’ll make isn’t in the market. It’s in yourself. A few months back, I learned about “Micro-Retirement” where Gen Z is taking career breaks lasting a few months or longer. It’s such an interesting concept. Many used to wait to take those trips and makes memories til retirement. I’ve always been an advocate for my clients to take that trip, make those memories, and experience life. You shouldn’t have to wait til retirement to start having fun. Plus, you never know what will happen… you might not be able to take those trips when given the chance later. In mico-retirement, they’re taking needed mental health breaks to refresh and rejuvenate themselves. Here’s the thing, we all need breaks. It’s so important to take time away from work. However, as a financial representative, it’s important to discuss logistics. What are your monthly costs? Extra expenses? Unexpected emergency? If something were to happen, can you cover the cost? 🧀 Question of the Day: What’s your "Too Good for the Mouse" cheese? 🐀 Did you know that July 29th is Cheese Sacrifice Purchase Day? Historically, it stems from the old (and totally debunked!) tradition of buying cheese to bait mousetraps. First of all, mice actually prefer peanut butter or sweets anyway. Second of all… we aren't sharing our premium dairy stash with anyone—especially not pests! 😂 If we are buying cheese, it is strictly a sacrifice to our own tastebuds.
