Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.

I serve members in…

southwestern Minnesota and surrounding communities.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

young families to help them create a plan that will protect their families. I also enjoy working with those approaching retirement to help them plan to enjoy the best retirement they have worked so hard to achieve.

I am very proud of…

earning my Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC) designation, and earning Rookie of the Year in 2011.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I believe in the values this organization stands for: the commitment of improving the lives of our members and helping the community.

The best part of my career is…

knowing at the end of the day I helped make a positive impact on the lives of our members.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my husband, Bruce, and family pets, Molly, Jack and Bee.

In my free time, you can find me…

camping, trail riding, cheering on my favorite Modern Woodmen softball team and cheering on my granddaughter in dance.

My greatest blessing is…

having family and friends to spend time with.

My personal motto is…

be involved in what you believe in and give it 100 percent of your effort.

My hidden talent is…

horseback riding.

Community impact

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for the past 30 years.

What I like best about my community is…

if someone is in need, this community will pull together to support each other.

I’m a member of…

the Chamber of Commerce, the Women's Connect and 1st Lutheran Church.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

the activities where I can be hands-on and see how we have helped in the community.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.
