Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I’m passionate about helping my members determine their financial goals. We work together to create a plan based on their unique needs.

I serve members in…

central Wisconsin, including Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Stevens Point, Neillsville, Loyal, Pittsville, Necedah and Wausau.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

families, those approaching retirement and small-business owners.

I attended…

University of Northwestern St. Paul.

I am very proud of…

receiving the 2015 FIC of the Year Award, and District Builder of the Year and the New Member Builder of the Year awards for our region.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was an account manager at Citibank Student Loan Corp. and was in higher education at the University of Northwestern St. Paul.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

it is an organization that supports members to help them reach their financial goals, and it treats each member's money as if it was its own.

The best part of my career is…

helping people in a service aspect. Whether we're planning for their retirement, investing for the future or protecting their families with life insurance, I feel good knowing I helped make a positive impact on their lives.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I understood the value we bring and how important it is for people to have life insurance for the unexpected. I helped a young widow and her 4-year-old son with my first death claim 11 years ago. I was able to help her financially in a difficult time of need.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife, Jane, my daughter, Taylor, and my son, Zach.

In my free time, you can find me…

at my kids' activities, taking walks, working outside, grilling, or following all types of sporting events. I'm also involved at my church.

I’m passionate about…

my family and friends. I also love following everything BIG 10!

My greatest blessing is…

my family and my health.

My personal motto is…

live each day as if it was your last. Each day is a gift.

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for 12 years.

What I like best about my community is…

people genuinely care for one another and give back to make this community great.

I’m a member of…

Crossview Church and the Rapids Connections networking group.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

planting trees and helping serve at the local neighborhood table.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

enjoying social and educational opportunities with my local Modern Woodmen chapter.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

our Hometown Hero event each year at the Lake Air Supper Club. Our chapter annually honors a person in our community for volunteer work or for doing something noteworthy in the community.

Ready to take control of your finances in 2026? Here are four tips to get you started! 1. Live within your means. Create a spending plan. 2. Save then spend. Make saving automatic. 3. Start now. It’s always better than starting later. 4. Outpace inflation. The longer you live, the more you need to do so. I can help! Schedule time to meet with me.

Final Wishes Resources | Modern Woodmen

As we gather with loved ones and reflect on what matters most, it's the perfect time to plan ahead. Our Final Wishes Resources help members make thoughtful decisions about end-of-life planning – so your family can focus on celebrating life, not navigating uncertainty. Ask me how to order yours.

Retiring in 2026? Here are three year-end retirement planning tips to help you make the most of your finances before the calendar flips. 1. Maximize retirement contributions. Boost your 401(k), IRA and HSA savings before limits reset! 2. Delay Social Security (if you can). Waiting equals bigger monthly checks later. 3. Review and update your wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health-care directives. Meet with me to discuss!
