Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I'm so blessed to make a living helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to do what I do.

I serve members in…

Allenton, Slinger, Hartford, Grafton, Germantown, Menomonee Falls and surrounding communities.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance and annuities.

I enjoy working with…

young professionals, families, couples and those approaching retirement.

I attended…

the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

I am very proud of…

my dedication to my family and my community. I'm also proud to inform people how Modern Woodmen can help secure their future and the futures of their kids and grandkids.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

worked in customer service for 15 years.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

it's about community, family and fun. I love supporting members and helping them reach their financial goals. I love that Modern Woodmen supports our community and allows me to give back to the community where I live.

The best part of my career is…

helping others, whether it's a single person setting goals and planning for retirement, a young family needing protection through life insurance, or a person figuring out if they can retire soon and planning their next steps. I enjoy knowing I help make a positive impact for people in all life stages.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I met with a client who told me she would never be able to retire. After reviewing her situation, we figured out that not only could she retire, but she could also do it that year, if she wanted. She left with the biggest smile on her face. She'd thought she'd have to work for the rest of her life. It was rewarding to give such great news. She set her retirement date and is now enjoying retired life!

Also…

I love when my members call or stop in with questions or news about their personal life (exciting or sad). They know I'll listen, and they can confide in me.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my husband, Craig, and our two boys, Ashton and Blake.

In my free time, you can find me…

in my garden or backyard, where my family rides dirt bikes and four-wheelers. My husband and I also enjoy DIY projects. We take on one or two new home projects a year. On weekends, we head north to our cabin by the lake and enjoy tubing, kayaking, fishing and watching the kids experience lake life.

I’m passionate about…

my family and friends. I would do anything to help anyone who needs it.

My greatest blessing is…

my family. They're my biggest cheerleaders, and I'm theirs.

My personal motto is…

The strongest people aren't always the people who win, but the people who don't give up when they lose.

Community impact

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for 16 years. I was born in sunny California. I lived there for many years, until my parents moved our family to Menasha, Wisconsin. After I completed college, I moved to Washington County with my husband. We planted roots and now live in West Bend with our two kids. We love the outdoors and exploring Wisconsin.

What I like best about my community is…

the amazing people. Whether you’re at the soccer or football field or the grocery store, you'll find so many familiar faces. Everyone always gives you a warm smile or a wave – it's a Midwest thing!

I’m a member of…

Allenton Elementary School PBO.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

making a difference in people’s lives and in their communities.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects. Seeing the donations our events bring in and giving money to worthy projects is truly amazing.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

watching grandparents get their face painted to match their grandkids’ faces at our annual community picnic .

Also…

I presented a Hometown Hero award to a 4-year-old boy who donated his bone marrow to save his older brother’s life.

2nd Annual Humane Society Drive!

My office collected and donated two carts of items to the Washington County Humane Society this year. We toured the facility and played with animals in the yard. I love doing this project each year!
