What I like best about my community is…

the support we have for one another. Our community is great about wrapping their arms around people in need to love and care for them.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Myth: If you can’t save a lot, it’s not worth saving at all. Fact: Even small, consistent contributions add up. Saving a little regularly builds habits and creates a foundation for future financial stability.

Back in the day, members used unique ways to express the need to prepare for the unexpected. Goggles (called "hoodwinks") were sometimes worn by a new member as part of an initiation ritual. Pins (push buttons) on the goggles changed the color seen through eyepieces from black to red, open and closed. This prop showed that things change throughout your life. #ThrowbackThursday

Our logo has evolved over the years. From a black and white emblem to the blue and green shield we know today. Our shield represents the protection we provide our members. And the clouds form an eagle's head, looking out for the communities we serve.
