How we make a difference

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

as community leaders, we believe it’s our responsibility.

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

answering the call for our local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, working with our education foundations and classroom teachers, supporting our first responders and military, and recognizing the unsung heroes who work to make central and southern Indiana a more enjoyable place for families to thrive.

Okay, sure… I get it. The word “fraternal” throws people off. Let’s set the record straight: ❌ We’re not a fraternity within the collegiate Greek system. ❌ We’re not a charity that takes donations. ❌ We’re not “just another” investment company chasing profits. Here’s what we are: Modern Woodmen of America is organized as a 501(c)(8) fraternal financial services organization. That means: 🔹 We provide financial security - life insurance, investments, retirement planning. 🔹 We operate for the benefit of our members (not outside shareholders). 🔹 By law, we must give back through community impact programs, volunteerism, and member benefits. What does this mean? We’re structured differently, taxed differently, and focused differently. Our entire business model is built on serving people and their communities - not corporate profits. That’s why our members get something no one else can offer: a financial partner with purpose. Be curious. Be confident. Be competitive. Be kind. Unapologetically Fraternal. Much Love & Cheers. #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #ThisIsMWA #ThisIsUsMWA #MakeAnImpact #MakeADifference #PeopleHelpingPeople #CommunityMatters #FraternalLife #GiveBack #MWAInTheCommunity #PurposeDrivenWork #UnapologeticallyFraternal

“Hey, Josh… What would you say to driving down and spending a few days with the team? Not only show them how to better use the tools we have available, but also answer questions and work on a few common pain points for our clients?” Without hesitation - this guy showed up. It goes without saying, the time he spent with our ever-growing team was extremely valuable. Big thanks to Josh LoDico from the Modern Woodmen of America home office for spending a few days with us to lead a workshop last month for our team! We spent the day diving into advanced training to help us better serve our members - taking complex financial strategies and turning them into simple, actionable guidance. Opportunities like this strengthen our team’s expertise while keeping our focus where it belongs: helping families plan with confidence and living out our fraternal mission! Thanks again, Josh. We are so grateful to have you doing your magic behind the scenes. You’re one of kind and we hope to host you again in the future! Next time, you’ll have to bring Allison! #unapologeticallyfraternal Much Love & Cheers. #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #MotivationMindset #InspiredToLead #MindsetMatters #KeepGrowing #PushYourPotential #MakeAnImpact #GrowthCulture #DrivenByPurpose #UnapologeticallyFraternal #ThisIsUsMWA #ThisIsMWA Attending the Jackson Divisional Workshop: The Jackson District: Dustin Robbins, James Wasmundt, Amanda Meyer, Collin Bopp, Amanda Laney, Stacy Riddle, Taylor Farley, Rob Muellers, Brandon New, Kevin Darrington, Kegan Owen, Angela Adler, Dane Crick, Michelle Badolato, and Sydney Archuleta. The Robert-Eze District: Austin Smith & Joseph Paul (not pictured but in attendance, Sunday Robert-Eze). The (soon-to-be established) Shaffer District: Nick Shaffer & Wyatt St. John.

What an incredible day the other week at Tee It Up for Hunger! Huge thanks to Amanda Meyer for hosting such a meaningful event alongside The Refuge, an outreach center and food pantry making a real difference in our own community. Through friendly competition and fellowship on the course, we were able to raise funds that directly support families in need. This is what fraternalism is all about - coming together, having fun, and lifting up our neighbors. Additional shout out to our financial representatives AND their members for attending this event. Proud to see our team living out their values and strengthening community ties while supporting such an impactful cause <3. Be curious. Be confident. Be competitive. “If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else” - Booker T. Washington Share your gifts. This picture is from the day that our Community Relations Director & Fraternal Coordinator, Michelle Badolato, spent time at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in the memory care unit leading a cupcake decorating class. 🧁✨ The smiles, laughter, and creativity around the table reminded us that lifting others up doesn’t always take something big—it can be as simple as sharing your time, joy, and a little frosting. 💙 Be curious. Be confident. Be competitive. Be kind. #unapologeticallyfraternal Well done, Michelle. And a tip of the hat to Heather Todd for facilitating such a fun event! Much Love & Cheers. #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #MotivationMindset #InspiredToLead #MindsetMatters #KeepGrowing #PushYourPotential #MakeAnImpact #GrowthCulture #DrivenByPurpose #BeKind
