How we make a difference

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

as community leaders, we believe it’s our responsibility.

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

answering the call for our local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, working with our education foundations and classroom teachers, supporting our first responders and military, and recognizing the unsung heroes who work to make central and southern Indiana a more enjoyable place for families to thrive.

Big shoutout to Lucas Hill and Chelsea Brooks for putting together such a meaningful Regional Impact Event! Our team had the opportunity to partner with Build-A-Bike, working together to assemble bikes that were donated to the Boys & Girls Club. On top of that, we were able to purchase every item off their wish list—making sure the kids got exactly what they needed. It was a day full of teamwork, impact, and giving back to a community that gives so much to us. Proud to be part of a team that leads with heart. ❤️🚲 Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. A few months ago one of our reps was stranded. I received a call from one of our best, Collin Bopp. He was stuck with a flat tire on a major interstate. While our regional meeting was about to start, I let Lucas know I’d be heading out to help. More than anything, I’m grateful he felt comfortable enough to reach out. That’s what teamwork really is. It’s not the meetings, the metrics, or the titles — it’s the willingness to show up when someone needs you. Leading others isn’t about doing everything yourself; it’s about creating a culture where people know they’re supported, no matter the situation. The best teams operate that way — they adapt, they step in, they take care of each other. That’s the kind of environment that builds trust, loyalty, and long-term success. Sometimes leading shows up as strategy sessions, skill-building, and planning. Sometimes, it looks like changing a tire. Proud to work alongside people like Collin. Proud to be part of a team that looks out for each other. I wasn’t the only one to jump at the chance to lend a hand. Excited to have Nick Shaffer stepping into the Managing Partner role soon 💪 Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. A big thank you to Hector Flores for spending time with our team and leading such a powerful workshop! He shared his story and walked us through how to better serve businesses, leverage life insurance, retirement planning, and everything in between. The strategies and insights he shared are already helping us sharpen the way we care for our clients and enhance business solutions. If you’re not spending time in your craft, you’re not actively serving your clients; becoming a liability instead of an asset. Hector, we’re grateful for your time, knowledge, and the challenge to raise our game. 👏 Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive.
