Contrary to what my costume for the evening may express, I have on very few occasions felt as insecure as I did that evening. And I know I wasn’t the only one. Up until five months prior to that picture, most of us had very little, if any, dancing experience (high school prom count?). Be it wasn’t about us… it was about ASSIST, Indiana; Bridges Alliance; Creative Grounds Fine Arts Academy; Dance Every Journey; Franklin, Union, Needham Townships - Jaki Fund; Gateway Services, Access Johnson County; Turning Point; Humane Society of Johnson County. Whether on the dance floor or in life, showing up fully is how we make things happen. I could make the case that now, more than ever, we need more folks - who care about themself, others and creation - out there “dancing.” Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive.
