How we make a difference

We feel it’s important to support the communities we serve because…

as community leaders, we believe it’s our responsibility.

We feel strongly about supporting our communities at a local level. One way we're able to make a positive impact is through Modern Woodmen activities and programs. We especially enjoy:

answering the call for our local nonprofit organizations and community leaders, working with our education foundations and classroom teachers, supporting our first responders and military, and recognizing the unsung heroes who work to make central and southern Indiana a more enjoyable place for families to thrive.

There’s a difference between having a job… and being in the right environment. The expectations are different. The conversations are different. The standard is different. You’re surrounded by people who: want to get better hold each other accountable and don’t settle for “good enough” Growth isn’t something that gets talked about here. It’s something that gets expected. And when you’re in that kind of environment— you don’t stay the same. You either rise… or you realize it’s not for you. And both outcomes are okay. But for the right person— it changes everything. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #UnapologeticallyFraternal Much Love & Cheers. #ThisIsMWA #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #CareerGrowth #GrowthEnvironment #NextLevel

Every week, I’m reminded we’re living in one of the noisiest financial environments we’ve ever seen. Markets move. Headlines spin. And everyone seems to have an opinion—usually louder than the last. But here’s what’s becoming clearer to me: People aren’t looking for more noise. They’re looking for clarity. Not perfect predictions. Not pressure. Just clarity. And more often than not, that doesn’t come from a chart, a forecast, or a strategy. It comes from a conversation. A space where someone can lay out their goals, fears, and questions—without feeling rushed or judged. Because financial confidence isn’t built by being “sold” something. It’s built by being heard. By understanding your priorities. By creating a plan that actually fits your life—not the one the headlines tell you to chase. When the noise fades, better decisions follow. And that’s the work. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #UnapologeticallyFraternal Much Love & Cheers. #RethinkSuccess #DoThingsDifferently #PerspectiveShift #PauseAndReflect #ThinkAboutIt #MindsetReset

Busy looks impressive. Focused gets results. Most teams don’t struggle because they lack talent or motivation— they struggle because everything feels important, so nothing truly is. That’s where leadership shows up. Not in doing more— but in deciding what actually matters. In saying no. In creating clarity. In protecting the work that drives real impact. Because momentum isn’t built by activity. It’s built by consistency— doing the right things, over and over, long before anyone notices. That’s where sustainable growth lives. Because most people stay busy. Leaders stay focused. Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #UnapologeticallyFraternal Much Love & Cheers. #Leadership #FocusMatters #DoThingsDifferently #Standards #GrowthMindset

“____________ says thanks for donating plants for our monkeys!!” I received the text above the other day from a member (and his daughter)… …and it stopped me for a second. He was at the zoo with his wife and their little girl when he noticed a small plaque near one of the exhibits. Nothing flashy. Nothing over the top. Just a quiet reminder that something good had been done. And that’s the part that stuck with me. Because this is what it looks like when success does more than stay on paper. It shows up in places you don’t expect. In moments you don’t plan for. In conversations you didn’t see coming. Not just building futures— but quietly making a difference along the way. I responded, “Hope it made you guys somewhat proud… and you should tell __________ that you guys were actually a part of that. That her mom and dad are a part of the reason those monkeys have their plants!!” His response to my message: ❤️ Be Curious. Be Confident. Be Competitive. Be Kind. #Unapologetically Fraternal. Much Love & Cheers. #ThisIsMWA #ModernWoodmenofAmerica #CommunityImpact #PeopleHelpingPeople #GiveBack #PurposeDriven
