Why I do what I do

I'm so blessed to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to do what I do.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

earned a degree in human resources management from the University of South Dakota. I worked in various roles in Sanford's Human Resources Department, growing and managing a team of travel nurses and managing all healthcare licenses for Good Samaritan Society.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I've always had a strong interest in finance and have always wanted to help as many people as I possibly could. The organization's foundation in fraternalism and giving back to local communities really set Modern Woodmen apart.

The best part of my career is…

meeting new people and helping them plan a secure financial future for themselves and their families.

I have lived in my community…

since 2019. I'm from Sioux Center, Iowa.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

raising money for MidSioux to assist with flood relief. It was really a rewarding experience. We assisted so many people who were affected by a flash flood that came through Sioux Center in the summer of 2023.

Current insights

With life insurance through Modern Woodmen, parents can feel relieved knowing their children are taken care of should the worst happen. The Orphan Support Benefit provides a $700 monthly allowance per child to the new legal guardian, and up to $50,000 per child to attend an accredited college, university or vocational program.
