Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I'm so blessed to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to do what I do.

I serve members in…

sweet home Alabama.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance and annuities.

I enjoy working with…

small-business owners and people in all stages of life. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out or if you're getting ready to retire, I'm ready to help you meet all your financial needs.

I attended…

Jacksonville State University, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree.

I am very proud of…

the life I've built in my community. I've been blessed with a wonderful and supportive husband, and we have four beautiful children together. My family is my greatest accomplishment. I also volunteer at our kids' school, serving as president of the parent teacher organization.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

served my family as a stay-at-home mom for almost a decade.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

through a dear friend, I witnessed first-hand the impact that the organization is making. At Modern Woodmen, we meet the needs of people and businesses through financial planning -- but what sets the organization apart from others is how we give back millions of dollars each year to local communities. It's moving to see the impact that Modern Woodmen makes, and I knew I wanted to share in it!

The best part of my career is…

working with members to meet their financial goals and needs now, while planning for tomorrow.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my husband, Rusty, and my four children: Miles, Preslee, Owen and Noah.

In my free time, you can find me…

sporting a ball cap on the sidelines of my children's sporting activities.

I’m passionate about…

my faith, my family, and my friends. I love hosting people in my home and enjoy the little moments in life.

My greatest blessing is…

my family. I couldn't be more grateful to serve my family daily. They are the light that makes each day worth it!

My personal motto is…

keep moving forward.

My hidden talent is…

I love to sing.

Community impact

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

more than a decade.

What I like best about my community is…

it feels like home. I didn't grow up here, but I've always felt like I belong.

I’m a member of…

Fords Valley Baptist Church, where I've served for many years as a vacation Bible school director and Sunday school teacher. I'm also a PTO board member at my children's school. I'm proud to have been elected the organization's president this year.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

helping children and building a stronger bond between people and our community.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

when we provided essential items to teachers at the local elementary school.
