Why I do what I do

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

worked for AT&T for 23 years as a small-business sales representative. I have master’s degree in finance and leadership and human resources management from Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I believe in the organization - not only for how it supports members to reach their financial goals, but also for the way it supports my community and allows me to give back. I’ve been a Modern Woodmen member for over 30 years.

Is your teen going off to college this fall and feeling stressed about their finances? Share these five budgeting tips! 1. Set goals – Save for books, trips, and future expenses. 2. Track spending – Use apps or spreadsheets. 3. Budget smart – Try the 50/30/20 rule. 50% for needs, 30% for wants and 20% for savings. 4. Cut costs – Cook at home, split subscriptions with roommates. 5. Go for free – Attend campus events to save cash! I'm available to answer any questions!

If your child is entering high school, college may seem like a long way off. But now’s the time to prepare for future scholarship eligibility. Give me a call to learn more about Modern Woodmen’s scholarship competition for high school seniors. https://www.modernwoodmen.org/memberprograms/
