Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

The importance of life insurance and saving money for later in life are topics that hit home with me. I wish I’d had a trusted representative sit down and educate me in me in my youth. If I can be that voice and make a difference in someone's life by opening their minds to the importance of financial planning, then I feel I've done what I was meant to do.

I serve members in…

Yorkville, Illinois, and surrounding communities.

I enjoy working with…

Small-business owners and families who want to protect themselves and secure their financial future.

I attended…

Aurora University

I am very proud of…

being a father. I’m also proud to be an Eagle Scout since 1991 and volunteer in my community.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

worked in insurance since 2016, including the past three years helping older adults with Medicare plans. Prior to 2016, I spent nearly 17 years in the IT industry.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I love the organization and what it stands for. I like that we support our members and community through fraternal programs and service projects.

The best part of my career is…

knowing my advice and recommendations make a difference for families.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my amazing wife; Heather; daughters Morgan and Cassie; and cats, Jack, our all-black house panther, and Willow, a cuddly calico.

In my free time, you can find me…

walking in the forest preserve, attending car shows, watching movies or playing games with my family, or reading a book.

I’m passionate about…

putting family first. I'm not huge sports fan but I love hockey, and the Chicago Blackhawks are my favorite team.

My greatest blessing is…

my amazing daughters. They complete my life in so many ways.

My personal motto is…

"We can have more than we've got because we can become more than we are." -Jim Rohn

My hidden talent is…

I love to cook out. I make a mean smoked barbeque chicken.

Also…

I’m a classic car nut. My favorites are third-generation Corvettes and Pontiac Trans Ams.

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

since 2010. I grew up in Aurora.

What I like best about my community is…

It feels like a small town feel even though its rapidly expanding. We have a great sense of community.

I’m a member of…

Yorkville Chamber of Commerce.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

working with older adults and animals.
