One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is having the opportunity to make an impact beyond the work we do every day. Recently, our team had the privilege of spending time with the firefighters at Los Angeles Fire Department Station 89, where we were able to experience a glimpse into the day-to-day life of a firefighter and gain an even greater appreciation for the work our first responders do. Through Modern Woodmen of America, we also had the opportunity to help provide the station with a brand-new gym. While construction delays meant we couldn’t see the completed space during our visit, we’re looking forward to coming back once everything is finished—and hopefully getting a workout in with the crew! I’m grateful to be part of an organization that gives us opportunities to invest in the communities we serve. Supporting our first responders is one small way we can recognize the time, sacrifice, and commitment they give to their communities every day.
