moved 14 times to open Wendy's restaurants.

though I’d known about Modern Woodmen my whole life, I learned more when my daughter was born in 1982.

The best part of my career is…

improving, insuring and inspiring the lives of my members.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

we ran a Soup with Santa fundraiser for 10 years, raising over $60,000 for children who were sick and in need.

marrying the preacher's daughter in 1981, securing my place heaven!

jumping out of an airplane and building a parachute on my way to the ground.

in Smithsburg since 1991, then Leitersburg in 1996.

What I like best about my community is…

it's a rural farming community with common-sense values.

I’m a member of…

the Greater Waynesboro (Pennsylvania) Chamber of Commerce and Hagerstown/Washington County Convention-Visitors Bureau.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

working with animals and Martha's House in Hancock and infusing music into the community.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

enjoying social and educational opportunities with my local Modern Woodmen chapters.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

“Coming Home” with Kris "Tanto" Paranto. We honored veterans from Vietnam and World War II at a speech to help Benghazi-Libya soldiers.
